1. There are Avatar Abilities and there are Feats. Avatar Abilities are skills and attacks that are typically unique to your avatar: things that give them a personal flare. Feats you can only get at level 3 and above, and only from the ones we've made for you, but they essentially bolster your character's ability with additional perks and such. You may only choose a feat that matches your level, not above or below (Unless you chose Adaptive Ability at level 8, but don't worry about that until you get there.)

So basically at level three, choose 3 abilities that make your character "Unique" but not overpowered, and then choose a corresponding level 3 feat based on your class. 

2. Chip's already in your head, buying the Deep Ground is more digital then physical.
