And Amber wouldn't be as nulled as you think, since again, he has to be in his energy collection state to do that, which would leave Amber completely free to take his Mallet and slam it straight into Mars face for being an idiot. The energy absorbtion thing has extremely limited combat capabilities, and is always better used before a battle ir when you have back up. Hence comes the problem that'll definitely come up if he's ever on a team, he'll run outta juice, a team member will offer to watch his back, he'll get insulted by the offer and charge into the heat of the fight. Mars sense of pride is going to get him into a lot of trouble, I can already tell.
