Eh, it's not meant to be that realistic in terms of combat anyway. It's a magical sword that lights on divine solar fire used by a member of the clergy for a Sun Goddess who has a palace on the surface of the sun where all her good worshippers go after they die.

Basically it's more "what's cool-looking and fun to write". ^^;
