From early childhood, she was one of the prodigies studying and working at the Baxter Building, a midtown Manhattan government research lab. Following her father into physics, at age eight she built a sugar-powered rocket and accidentally destroyed her father's car, after which she changed her focus to "inner space" biology. Then her mother passed away. She had to become the mother figure to her younger brother Johnny as their father broke down into a depression. This caused her much stress and struggle to keep on top of her school work by having to look after her brother, father and the house. She still maintained high grades and reached top of her class. She was very pretty in her teen years but she had no time for boys, so the popular girls in school began to shun her for not participating in the social normality. This made her shy around people her age and found only comfort in attending comic cons with her brother, it was the only time she could truly let her hair down. This is how she meets Reed Richards and Benjamin Graham, at the New York Comic Con. Her new best friends. She connected with Reed on an intellectual level and he really challenged her mind with his wondrous knowledge. He was drawn to her lovely costume of a Hawkgirl from the popular DC comics (ofc we know Marvel is better!) and she explained how she made it herself. She had become very talented at tailoring for mending Johnny's clothes and expanded on her craft skills as a hobby to get away from not having any friends of her own. But now she had them and she was so excited. When she got home after the con she couldn't stop talking about her new friends Reed and Ben to her father. This inspired him to give Reed a chance at his think tank programme; having heard of Reed's outstanding work already at a young age. He called it The Future Foundation. There they would be the test subjects of Reed's ill-fated experiment.... Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character. (same as Drew's for Reed Richards) After the big project, the teleportation device his father was working on, fails spectacularly. Reed finds out one of the people who was working on it has mutated for the worst, a strange monster like creature that buries itself underground and produces mole like monsters a sexually. Finding out about him and having to fight its now mindless form leaves Reed depressed and blaming himself, on top of what happened to himself and the other three. Reed along with the rest of the newly announced Fantastic Four begin to put the pieces together about where his father went and what happened to him, which leads them to a certain castle in Latervia. (This one with Kid Lantern's permission of course) After their constant struggles and disappointments against 3D Man, The skrulls decide to use the Fantastic Four as the base for a new Super Skrull prototype. However when they get DNA samples from the four it causes the heroes' powers to go haywire, and result in the curious side effect of being able to exchange powers with one another through physical touch. Powers and Abilities: Sue Storm possesses the ability to mentally bend all wavelengths of light around her or her target. This ability allows her to render the target in question invisible to the human eye and all forms of electronic detection. Sue can also generate invisible force fields that allow her to levitate herself or other objects, propel or manipulate them however she wishes, and generate invisible force weapons and protective shields. Sample Post: Susan tapped her foot impatiently. “C'mon Johnny we're going to be late.” She spoke to her younger brother who had his head stuck underneath a car in their garage. She was already wearing her Hawkgirl outfit that she herself made, feather by feather from out of a pillow. Johnny was in a boilersuit and covered with grease. “”Yeah hang on, Sis.” “Now Johnny. I DO NOT want to miss the masquerade, I want to win best costume this time!” She had a competitive side to her fiestyness, along with her gorgeous blonde locks and curvy figure. She had to make a good contender this year. “Yeah I said cool it, I gotta fix this for Dad.” Johnny was eager to please his father and be accepted as his not so brainy son, but ever so handy with all things mechanical. “I said NOW!” Susan kicks his shin. “OW OW OWWWW what did you do that for?!!” Johnny rolls out from under the care and holds his shin bone. “Get dressed, shower, shave, and lets shove off.” Sue could be very bossy when it suited her, but she had to be with Johnny otherwise they'd never get anywhere sometimes. At the Con, Sue walks the various stalls, having to stop at EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM to listen to Johnny try and chat up every single girl he came across. Though the girls seemed more interested in talking to Sue and asking how she made her cool outfit. Johnny got fed up and pushes Sue away “Go away you're cramping my style sis.” Sue folds her arms and pouts. “Fine, I'll be over there. BY MYSELF!” She yells at him and storms off. She never had a date, or even a best friend. When Johnny didn't want her around she had to be by herself. And this made her quite angry, after everything she did for him - dressed him for school, made his breakfast, lunch AND dinner, made sure he washed, brushed his teeth. She was practically his mother. And when he didn't want to hang around with her, she felt he was very ungrateful. Susan found herself talking to an older lady who had made her own dresses at a stall, she delighted in talking fabrics and how they fit together, and she was eager to learn how she made her lovely dresses. And that's when she had a tap on her shoulder from Benjamin Graham. “Hey whats up? Sorry to barge in but I'm Ben, this is Reed. Here Reed say hi.” Ben had given him the opening, Reed felt his heart rushing in his body like it was bouncing all over the place. All the knowledge he possessed, all the smarts he had and will ever have. None of it prepared him for this, the brief pause felt like an eternity as Reed had to muster up his courage. Here goes... “Uh, hi!” Susan blinks at the two guys her age. She was used to men approaching her, and also used to Johnny being over protective. But something was different about these two this time. They weren't your usual jackasses. They both looked geeky, and Reed looked especially shy but she liked that. And suddenly she was excited. People her age wanting to talk to her who had the same likes. Could it be the start of beautiful friendships? “Um....Hi!” She herself didn't really know what to say but her smile lit up the entire room and her blue pearly eyes shined as bright as the stars. “Hey, hey, hey, Sue ain't got no time for you.” Johnny finally pulls away from chatting up Poison Ivy to catch his sister being “hit on” or what it looked like. Sue elbows him right in the stomach, still smiling through gritted teeth. “Johnny, be nice!” Sorry about my brother, he's just being protective. And then Sue and Reed got to talking, therein beginning their close friendship.
