The month had gone by painfully slow for Sodalite. Since she had reached the temple was was shown how to enter her door, she spent almost all of her free time in her room. If she wasn't there, she was about the town, quietly finding lost and old items that she would collect and add to her room. She also had a surprising amount of books in her room as well, but the story of how she accumulated them all was for another time. She had constantly reminded herself that she should have at least tried to get Evenkite back from Bloodstone, but her lack of conversation that particular moment made her believe that it was the reason she was on this path. They could have Evenkite and Reggie with them, but due to Sodalite walking out when she should have tried to mend the situation, that wasn't how it turned out. To keep herself busy, she spent as much time as possible in a book, fiction or otherwise. The Art of War, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Lord of the Rings series, the Illiad and the Oddesy, and many more were ones she loved. Some of them she still had yet to acquire for her collection, but she had indeed read them. A few minutes before Aquamarine had made her entrance, Sodalite left her room, the large clock inside said room telling her that it was almost time for them to be going. Angular patterns and gears appeared on the door. The central gear began to spin, causing all other connected to it to spin as well as open the door. Sodalite walked out slowly and wordlessly, and waited patiently for Aquamarine. When the older gem did get there, she nodded, following Howlite and standing on the warp pad. From what she could gather, the warp pad woul essentially start up when gemkind got into close enough proximity of it. Once they were ready, they would let out what she could only assume to be something similar to the biometric readings that humans had, and the warp pad would take notice of these specific readings and warp accordingly. Though, she had no idea if it was true or not. So much about their race was shrouded in mystery, and she had a burning desire to learn more. however, it was not the time, and she simply followed Aquamarine's instructions. ------ Meanwhile, Mayor Coss was taking a stroll along Agate Road, taking in the changing atmosphere of the town. He quite enjoyed Halloween, and misse the days when he and his father would spend weeks at a time working on new, fancy, and scary Halloween creations so that only the bravest of souls could pass through to get delicious candy. Of course, he wanted to do something similar with his own son. Unfortunately, he wasn't as handy as his father was, and since his father was a carpenter, he also lacked the tool required for making the things that he made as a child. It was a little sad, but Chuck still found ways in the season to bond with his son.
