Prince John has a dramatic need to show everyone that he is better than all of them, and one way he does that is through flaunting his clothing. His daily attire  tends to remain the same, though it sparkled with sewn in gold thread and other various jewels. Prince John is a person who can be commanded easily by someone who is in higher power than he is. He does not listen to those beneath him, though. He was not a natural born leader like his brother was, and he cares more for himself than actually for his people. He prefers to spend more of the tax payers’ money on his lavish lifestyle than to actually give back to the community. He is quick with executing those who go against him in his reign and those who go against the Queen in her reign. He is quite childish and immature, and he is extremely greedy in his wealth, as shown through his lavish style of living. 

John is not all bad though. He is quite brave, though it is just for himself. He is adventurous, but he doesn’t put himself in many dangerous situations. He is intelligent and clever, as well as cunning. He makes sure that he will remain on top by taking out all rebellion leaders against him. He shows no mercy to his subjects because he expects to receive none when it comes to his downfall, if it were to ever happen. He is very possessive over the things that are his and he makes sure that no one will ever take it from him. He has a short temper, but can be cheerful whenever he needs to be, though it is a sickening, money-induced cheerfulness about him.

He is extremely wealthy, which allows him to do a lot of the things that he wants to do more often than not. He has the ability to bride people, which, in the end, can help out in his favor. Because of his power position, he can force most people to do whatever he wants under threat of death. This allows him to get almost whatever he wants. Because of him never putting himself in dangerous situation, he almost never leaves his castle, which gives assassins less opportunities to kill him. He pays his guards very well and this allows them to be extremely loyal to him no matter what.

Because he is adventurous as well as cautious, he gets bored very quickly with the same old routine. This sometimes makes him go outside, which gives assassins a chance at him. Since he has a lot of money as well, he can be very stingy with it and he seems to neglect some of his guards at times.

[b]Brief Biography (Life In The Fairy Tale World):[/b]
Prince John was born as the second son to the King and Queen of England, only twenty years before Maleficent took over. He was always in his brother’s shadow. His brother was the stronger of the two of them, the faster, the bigger… John could not stand being in his shadow, so he began to make his brother look horrible. He tracked mud across the floor and make Richard’s shoes muddy. He would cut the curtains with Richard’s prized hunting knife and leave it at the scene of the crime. No matter what he did, though, he was still not seen and Richard never fell from his pedestal. 

He came out of the shadows, though, when Richard was “killed” by being thrown off his horse and breaking his neck. Richard and John were out riding when John was sixteen. They decided to go through the forest and John got separated from the guard and Richard. He took a small detour and went in search of animals. He found a snake on the ground, dead of course, but that gave John an idea. You see, Richard’s horse, Remus, was deathly afraid of snakes, no matter dead or alive. He picked up the snake and stuck it in his satchel before making his way back to the sound of people calling his name. 

He rode ahead of Richard, going faster than his elder brother, and he opened his satchel and let the snake slip onto the ground, unnoticed by anyone in the guard or his brother. Remus freaked out, reared back, and Richard was thrown off, slammed into a tree by his head, and his neck just snapped. John, playing the worried brother, ran over and knelt down next to his brother, but on the inside, he was happy beyond belief. His brother was dead, he was next in line for the throne, and he was out of his brother’s shadow. This day couldn’t have gotten better for him. 

His family, minus him, mourned for a full year for Richard, having black drapes and black clothing in the castle only. When the drapes were removed, it seemed like a different world for John. He was noticed by his parents, appreciated, but it still wasn’t enough for him. He was power hungry. He needed to be in a position of power, be controlling over someone, and being prince was not enough for him. He wanted the throne. He needed his parents out of the picture, and he got his chance, three years later. 

At the time the Queen took over, England was falling. His mother was deathly ill and his father was going mad at it. The Queen, when approaching England, easily dispatched of them and then turned her eyes to John. She must have seen the darkness inside of him because she asked him to commit allegiance to her and he would be King of England. John giddily did so, and the Queen left, heading out to take on other tasks. He immediately took up his thrown and began succumbing to the power. He taxed the people of England for ridiculous things, and he slowly began coming more and more wealthy, while the people of England fell to the poor and the dust, but he no longer cared. He got what he wanted since he was a teen and he will never, ever give it up, for anyone.
