A great big hulking mass of a man with fierce black eyes and long silver-grey hair fashioned into many strands of neat and tidy locs. It’s the combination of these two physical characteristics (distinctive hair colour and large muscular build) where the nickname “Big Silver” derives from. He’s quite a rugged fellow, despite having a generally clean appearance, and many years out at sea has given his face a weathered look, making him appear much older than he actually is.

John’s attire consists of a black leather jerkin over a doublet of a questionable white. His long black bottoms disappear into knee-high boots that are thick, well-worn and excessively polished. A white sash secures his waist, and a rapier sits in a scabbard only mere centimetres away.

On his last pirate expedition, the ship he was aboard was capsized – I’ll spare you some of the details. He made it to Bastion by chance on a smaller vessel he and a few others had managed to escaped on. He remains in the city carefully biding his time as a dock loader until he is able to get back on the seas again.
