That's hard to answer.

See, the Ming are not used to American presence [i]anywhere[/i] in the pacific, and all your planes and roundels would be almost certainly be different.  So even if it happened immediately after the Ming arrived there is a chance your planes would merely be forced into landing somewhere remote (or shot down if they refused), but that opens the question of timing.

Depending on when you do it, the answer changes as RP relations change.

So, I honestly don't know!
