Issues between his team members aside, it was definitely time for him to begin his investigation. A number of plans were already formulating in his mind, though most were settling on at first studying any of the threats that had been sent. It would be through those letters or messages that he most likely find clues, and so he lightly brushed past the remaining two of his assembled group, Giichi and Gin, nodding to them before exiting the room to find where they were stored. A quick conversation with a nearby servant directed his attention to the Minister's study, and he immediately got to work, traversing the warm and well-lit corridors of the grand mansion to his intended destination. News travelled fast throughout the household, it seemed, as by the time the green-haired chunin had made his way into the study, a number of servants had already deigned themselves to organise the necessary documents for him to investigate. Personally, he would have adored having somebody around to help out in his apartment, but then again a roommate would probably make it a bit too cramped. It was a one bedroom flat, after all, and there wasn't really a need for a servant when everything was neatly packed into easily accessible areas. He quickly banished the thoughts out of his mind as he sat down, fingers gently dancing across the folders to find the first threats. This wasn't time to think about impossibilities. It was time to work and get his paycheck. The chunin pulled out the first message with a set of tweezers, taking care not to disturb it too much or to rip its surface. The contents were not particularly interesting beyond generic death threats, as he had expected from the mission data. These were mysterious threats, after all, with little seeming basis behind their presence. His job was to find out where they came from. Haruka lightly moved the paper to his nose, sniffing its scent. It was the familiar scent of the standard Konoha oak paper. That didn't really tell him much, though it did make it likelier that the assassins would have a stronger presence in the Land of Fire. The company that produced this brand ... they were Konoha-based, but their products were present in the other countries as well. But it was only here that they held such a monopoly. It failed to narrow down much, but hopefully a more thorough examination of the letters themselves would provide more information. He probably should have brought someone with specialised forensics skills rather than rely on his own, more generalist knowledge.
