Co-existing with our own lives, a society of feline warriors flourish. Bound by no outside laws, they live and fight to protect what is rightfully theirs, and as time progresses, the Clans must fight even harder then ever. As the season of leaf-bare comes to an end, and with new-leaf rapidly approaching, a new, and deadly disease has made an appearance through the Clans. Only a few cats have been stricken with it so far, but since the first outbreak, more and more cats have fallen ill. At first, it mimics the symptoms of the common cold, but don’t be fooled, quickly those empty coughs become splattered with dark, raw blood. With the infection levels high, the weakest members of each Clan are at risk and with no cure, it won’t be long until the Clans struggle to survive. Life-saving herbs are scattered around the Clans and Medicine Cats need access to them all if they are to find a cure. But remember, decisions made will affect the lives of every cat. Will the Clans come together to defeat this disease, or will old rivalry still linger and doom them all?
As you can see, this RPG is all about Warrior Cats. It’s a book (if you didn’t know) and the whole RPG will be based around it using your own original characters living in the The Forest. To avoid confusion, all our characters will start in ThunderClan. Why ThunderClan? Simply because it’s the most well known Clan out of them all and thus it is easier for people who have only read a few books (or none) to join. Haven’t read the books? That’s fine, you don’t particularly need to. It is basically a simple role play to do with cats. But I would advise you to read them, not for this role play… but because they are just great books.
Here is a list of ranks which are available for characters within this roleplay: Leader – Each clan has one Leader who has the responsibility to ensure their clan’s welfare and are tasked with watching over and managing their clan with the help from the Deputy. These cats are the only ones who are given nine lives and a new name (with the ending ‘-star’) upon becoming the Leader. These cats may also receive signs from StarClan, and have been known to speak to their ancestors when in need of some guidance. Due to the busy and important role of a Leader, female Leaders are traditionally not allowed to have kits since caring for them would mean time away from their duties as a Leader.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Clan and give them orders • Represent their Clan at Gatherings. • Lead the Clan into battles (this can be done by either the Leader of the Deputy). • Appoint new Apprentices when Kits come of age and assign them to able mentors. • Appoint new Warriors once Apprentices have finished their training. • Appoint a new Deputy if the former Deputy has died or resigned. • Listen to the reports of the Deputy, Medicine Cat and other senior Warriors. • Discuss prophecies and omens with their Clan's Medicine Cat, and listen to their advice. • Solve conflicts between members of the Clan when needed. • Deal with the other Clan’s in an appropriate manner. • Decide if a non-Clan cat can join the Clan, be it a Kittypet, another Clan member, Rogue, etc. • Mentor Apprentices to the best of their abilties. • Exile those who have committed crimes which severely break the Warrior Code and/or present a major threat to the Clan. • Carry out normal Warrior tasks, like going on patrols, hunting, etc. • Call Clan meetings when necessary. • Listen to the concerns of any member of the Clan. • Follow the Warrior’s Code.
Deputy – The Deputy is second in command and will take over as the Leader when the original Leader dies or retires. They will also serve in the Leader’s place when the situation is called for it (such as if the Leader is unable to fulfil their duties due to illness, etc). They are also in charge of organizing patrols and are often called on by the Leader for advice, but other then that, they retain the normal duties of a Warrior. To become a Deputy, a cat must have trained at least one Apprentice. Upon the former Leader’s death or retirement, they become the Leader and go to the Moonstone so Starclan can grant them nine lives. Though, Deputies may also retire and give up their place as Deputy if they wish.
• Give advice to the Leader when needed. • Represent their Clan at Gatherings if the Leader cannot. • Organise border patrols and hunting groups with the Leader. • Lead the Clan into battles (this can be done by either the Leader of the Deputy). • Mentor any Apprentices assigned to them to the best of their ability. • Help the Leader with their duties of overseeing and managing the Clan. • Become the Leader when the former Leader dies/retires. • Listen to the Leader, Medicine Cat and other senior Warriors. • Assume Leader’s role when the current Leader is unable to do their duties. • Solve conflicts between members of the Clan when needed. • Deal with the other Clan’s in an appropriate manner. • Carry out normal Warrior task, like going on patrols, hunting, etc. • Listen to the concerns of any member of the Clan. • Follow the Warrior’s Code.
Medicine Cat – The Medicine Cat serves as the Clan’s spiritual leader and healer. As a healer, they gather herbs and store them until needed. They handle diagnosis and treatment of both illness and injury for all the cats in the Clan. In addition to their responsibilities to their Clan, they also have a responsibility to the other Medicine Cats and StarClan. They carry out their responsibilities to StarClan once ever half-moon, meeting with the other Medicine Cats to discuss matters privately and share dreams with StarClan. Clan Leaders often rely on them to carry messages from StarClan, as Medicine Cats have a special link which no other cat has to the deceased. In their role as spiritual leader, they teach the code, interpret omen and prophecy and generally serve the Clan as a connection between the earthly cats and their ghostly counterparts. As a Medicine Cat, they are not allowed to have a mate or bear offspring. Medicine Cats also exist outside of typical Clan rivalries in order to treat all cats fairly.
• Know all of the herbs and store a supply of them in their den. • Treat wounded and sick cats. • Assist Queens while they are pregnant with Kits, giving birth, or nursing them. • Check up regularly on the health of Clan cats, (especially Queens, Elders, and Kits). • Visit the Clans' sacred place (The Moonstone) at every half-moon to seek guidance from StarClan. • Interpret prophecies and omens and sharing them with the Clan Leader. • Upon the death of the Clan leader, they must accompany the Deputy to the Moonstone to be appointed as the new Leader. • Train an Apprentice as the Clan's next Medicine Cat • Bear the knowledge of basic battle training. • Check up on StarClan to see about the future.

Alder Bark -Eases toothaches Found in all Clans. Blackberry Leaves -Eases the swelling and reduces pain of a bee string Found in ThunderClan and RiverClan. Borage Leaves -Giving to nursing queens to produce more/better milk -Helps bring down fever Found in all Clans. Burdock Root -Reduces/heals the pain of infected rat bites -Helps with breathing problems Found in ShadowClan. Burnet -Travelling herb Found in WindClan. Catnip -Helps fight greencough and whitecough Found in all clans. Celandine -Soothes damaged eyes Found in RiverClan. Chamomile -Travelling herb Found in ThunderClan, RiverClan and WindClan. Chervil -Used for infected wounds -Help rid bellyache -Can also be used during kitting Found in ThunderClan and WindClan Chickweed -Treats greencough and white cough, though catnip is often preferred Found in all Clans. Cobwebs -To stop/slow bleeding -To bind broken bones Found in all Clans. Coltfoot -Eases breathing -Heals cracked or sore pads -Helps coughing -Eases sore throat Found in RiverClan and Windclan. Comfrey Root -Repairs broken bones -Soothes wounds -Used to relieve itching -Brings down inflammation on stiff joints Found in Thunder Clan, WindClan and ShadowClan. Daisy Leaf -Travelling herb -Eases pain in aching joints Found in all Clans. Dock -Soothes scratches -Soothes sore pads -Helps inflamed wounds Found in all Clans. Fennel -Helps pain in the hips Found in all Clans Feverfew -Reduces body temperature for cats with fever or chills -Heals ache and pains -Good for headaches Found in all Clans. Goldenrod -Heals wounds Found in RiverClan. Heather Nectar -Makes swallowing easier Found in WindClan and ShadowClan. Honey -Soothes infections -Heals smoke-damage/sore throats -Helps cat swallow -Helps soothe coughing -Gives energy Found in all Clans. Horsetail -Treats infection -Helps stop bleeding Found in ShadowClan. Juniper Berries -Soothes bellyaches -Anti-flammatory -Helps aches and pains in older cats -Gives strength -Helps trouble breathing -Helps to calm cats Found in ThunderClan. Lamb’s Ear -Gives cat strength Found in RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan. Lavender -Cures fever and chills -Used to hide the scent of death Found in all Clans. Lemon Balm -Cramps -Heals wounds -Help relax nerves -Soothes nausea and prevents vomiting Found in all Clans. Mallow Leaves -Soothes bellyache Found in WindClan and ShadowClan. Marigold -Treats infection -Stops bleeding -Helps inflammation of stiff joints -Heals wounds and sores Found in all Clans. Mint -Hides the scent of death Found in all Clans. Mouse Bile -Extracted from a mouse. Medicine Cat Apprentices also accompany their mentors in their visit to the Moonstone every half-moon to receive dreams from StarClan. Frequently, a Medicine Cat Apprentice who has had full training will be given a Warrior name (to replace "-paw"); however, Medicine Cat Apprentices remain Apprentices even when fully trained so long as the current Medicine Cat is still practising the arts. At the time the old Medicine Cat either dies or steps down, the Medicine Cat Apprentice becomes a full Medicine Cat, somewhat like the Leader/Deputy relationship. When the Apprentice becomes the full Medicine Cat then they can then have an Apprentice of their own.
• Help the Medicine Cat in their duties. • Learn the art of healing injured cats. • Learn all the herbs available to them and their uses. • Takes on the role as Medicine Cat in the event of death/retirement. • Bear the knowledge of basic fighting techniques. • Carry out normal Warrior duties if necessary.
Warrior – A Warrior is a cat trained in the arts of fighting and hunting. Warriors make up the bulk of a Clan, and provide that Clan with the protection and food supply that keeps it safe and well-fed. Typically, a cat is made a Warrior at or over the age of twelve moons. In their oath to become a Warrior, they promise to "uphold the warrior code and protect and defend their Clan, even at the cost of their life."
• Provide defence and security. • Border patrols. • Mark borders. • Evict or chase out trespassers. • Camp security. • Stand guard and raise the alarm if invaded. • Protect the camp in the event of an attack. • Provide food for the Clan in the form of fresh-kill. • Serve in offensive operations. • Perform attacks against other Clans, either to eliminate a specific threat or to carry out another objective defined by the Clan Leader. • Mentor Warrior Apprentice’s appointed to them by the Clan Leader. • Follow the Warrior Code.
Queen – A Queen is a she-cat nursing or expecting Kits. Their primary task during this time is the raising of their Kits. Some Queens stay in the nursery even after they have Kits, looking after expecting Queens and helping them raise their own.
• Bear Kits for the Clan. • Look after and safe-guard their own Kits and the Kits of the other Queens. • Raise the Kits and teach them what it expected from them by the Clan. • Know the basic fighting techniques. • Alert the Medicine Cat if a Kit/Queen falls ill. • Follow the Warrior Code.
Elder – An Elder is a retired Warrior/Deputy/Queen/Medicine Cat/Leader who is too old or not able to continue with their duties. Elders are taken care of by the whole Clan, and are given respect for the time they have served protecting the Clan. They are responsible for taking the body of a dead cat out to be buried. Some cats don't become an Elder only because of old age; if there is ever a condition which prevents the cat from fulfilling their duties to their Clan (such as permanent injury), it usually leads to the cat's decision of retiring. They will often tell stories about Clan life as it was when they were growing up to Apprentices.
• Rub certain herbs on a cat's body when they have passed away to disguise the scent of death. • Take dead cats out of camp to bury them. • Although they do not have to catch their own food, nor do hunting patrols, they are excepted to defend camp if necessary.
Apprentice – An Apprentice is a cat in training to become a Warrior. Their names end in the word "-paw" to signify the "path their paws are now on". Most of the time they are at or over the age of six moons. They will have a mentor appointed to them at their ceremony and are usually taken out battle training or hunting. They are also given the task of cleaning out bedding and removing Elders’ ticks and fleas. Apprentices are not allowed to have a mate or Kits due to their young age and not to interrupt their training. Apprentices cannot leave the camp without the permission of their mentor or another Warrior, and they cannot eat until the Elders and nursing Queens are fed first, unless they have special permission. If an Apprentice breaks a rule, they usually have to go through a punishment, such as searching the Elders pelts for ticks, and if they find any, dabbing some moss with mouse bile on it to get the ticks to drop off. Another punishment is cleaning out old bedding and replacing it with fresh moss. There are other punishments that can be given out, although sometimes it depends on their actions. In some cases, the Leader will not allow the misbehaving Apprentice to go to the next Gathering.
• Train and learn from their mentors. • Obey their mentors and the duties which have been given to them. • Provide fresh-kill and make sure that they do not eat until the Elders and Queens have eaten first. • Go on border patrols and hunting with other Clan members. • Follow the instructions of the Warriors and other Clan members. • Protect the camp in the event of an attack and fight when needed. • Become a Warrior when training is finished. • Never leave the camp unless given permission. • Clean out bedding and check Elder’s for ticks. • Bring food to cats when needed (such as Elders and Queens). • Perform attacks against other Clans, either to eliminate a specific threat or to carry out another objective defined by the Clan Leader. • Carry out punishments given out to them. • Follow the Warrior Code.
Kit – A Kit is a cat who is too young and has not been made an Apprentice yet. Their names always end in "-kit.” Most often, they are under the age of six moons, though sometimes they are held back from being an Apprentice for a certain amount of time, sometimes due to injury or misbehaving. They stay in the camp and are forbidden to leave it, unless accompanied by an older cat, such as a Warrior, a Medicine Cat, or any kind older Clan member.
• Learn what is expected of them from the Clan. • Follow instructions. • Never leave camp unless accompanied. • Become an Apprentice when old enough.
Loners - These are cats who don't live with the Twolegs (Humans) or any of the Clans. They usually live alone in dens they make away from the Clan cats and their territory. Rouges - These cats are considered evil, once Warriors of the different Clans, they live on the outskirts of Clan territory. Kittypet - These cats live with the Twolegs (Humans) in their 'nests'. Kittypets are often given a very dismissive outlook by most Clan cats as they are considered to be lazy and have easy lives. You may have as many characters as you want as long as you keep them all active. • Remember, your character isn't perfect! Not everyone will like your character, just deal with it and move on. • Ginger Kollie and Tea at midd are your GMs, you must worship us. (Nah, you get my point, we love you all really!) • This is a semi-realistic role play, so please be REALISTIC! • If your character gets injuries at any time throughout the role play, remember to stick with it! A few hours later after breaking a leg, your character shouldn’t be up and running across a field like normal, should they? I know it can get boring role playing an old injury but once your character gets injured, stick with it! • Pay attention to what others have written before you post. Nothing is more annoying then when players post without having looked at the post made before them. If there is any error or miscommunication, then we will discuss it in the OOC. • If you don't want to be in this RPG any more, then please kill your character(s) off respectively. If you are inactive for a good amount time (with no word), and your characters are getting in the way of other people trying to post, I will pick your character up, and throw them in a lake. Simple. • Please do not mention any OC Clans. This RP will be using the canon Clans from the books, so if you create a character who was originally from an outside clan, refer to them as 'another' group of cats. Out of Character Rules • Try to be at least a little bit civil. We do not expect you to love everyone, but please refrain yourself from being a brat. Thank you. • Do not demand things, if you would like me or anyone else to maybe update or do something for, ask politely. Demanding things will probably end up with you getting virtually smacked. You are warned. • No bullying or picking on another players. • Take any arguments to PMs, no one else wants to listen to your bickering. • Do not publicly bash people. If you have a problem with someone, then please message one of the GMs and we will deal with it. • Us GMs, we are both human too! I am very sorry if we forget to update something or do this. We do have lives, please respect that. We will do the best we can. • Ginger Kollie and Tea at midd have the right to change any of the rules at any time when we see fit. Character Creation Rules • Only the GMs have permission to accept or deny someone's character sheet, nobody else. • All character sheets should be posted in the OOC. Once approved, I will move them into the Character Sheet page. • No supernatural powers. • Please limit any abnormal colourings and extras on your character. Try and have natural colours, this is a realistic RP. Remember, repeated failure to live by these rules will get you ejected from this RP from an over-sized cannon. I do not joke around, kids.
