LST isn't medical in nature at all; it's all about microbiology, chemistry and gentech. So... that's a pretty big difference. :newlol 

The closest my friend might get to medicine is something like finding the cure for cancer, but right now he's focusing on a start-up that wants to 3D print with metal. Applications include shipping a 3D metal printer up to the ISS so the astronauts can print the instruments they need instead of having to store them all in the ISS on the off-chance they'll need something. 

Your program sounds like it has more immediately useful applications. As in, literally life-saving. Right on. :rock
