[@Loony] She was probably a servant gem like Pearl that was forced to go with Bloodstone.  

She was considered weak and disposable which had her sent to, what Yellow Diamond saw as, her death. This caused her to hate Home-World and probably only kept in touch with Bloodstone because he didn't see her as worthless since he viewed each soldier as a valuable aspect of the team.
