As the horse trodded onward, it slowed down its pace to match that of the adventurers. Its rhythmic galloping seemed to lul Sergeant Wykes to sleep, as she slumped over the horse's main and grabbed its neck. Slow as it was, it seemed Sergeant Wykes would not fall off. She had a countermeasure in the form of straps which snapped on- she had them installed after the second time she had fallen asleep while on her horse. It was a trick some of the king's cavalrymen used, or at least a trick that was developed by some of her peers back in training so they could catch up on sleep while out training.
