The thing that threw me off was 

The ranks of stats will range from E -> S, [b]with each rank costing a point scaling upward.[/b]
E=1, D=2, C=3, B=4, A=5, S=6

Not sure if you want to change the wording to make it more clear or my brain is over-complicating it but thanks for the response from the both of you.
