A thin mist filtered down from the cloud autumn sky along the muddy Route 14. At their backs was the city they met in, Lumiose City. And to the far north was Laverre City. Nathan didn't think their usual method of transportation, their hot air balloon would work given the dampened weather. He and his partner, Cori had been on the road for a day and this being their second, he was sure they'd be able to locate the trapped trainer who called them urgently less than 30 hours ago. Nathan and Cori met in high school, she was new to the city and also to the same apartment complex where they lived. Nathan's parents were used to him getting into trouble with his friends but it wasn't often he branched out and made many female friends. Since then though, the green haired boy was eager to make friends with anyone in high school. He and Cori ended up bonding over their need to help people by doing good things. While most teenagers their age were causing trouble, he and Cori talked extensively about how much they enjoyed their country but that it wasn't easy to mail things or sometimes get the help you needed, right when you needed it. It was back then, that they created Shimmering Councilor Service, a means to help people all over. They finally did it six months ago and since then, things have been picking up. Parents would insist their children wouldn't leave home on their journey without having SCS's contact information in their phones and other devices. Nathan was proud of him and his friend, that they were finally able to put a dream into their tangible reality. After they packed up camp, they continued to navigate the marshy landscape. Their breakfast had been light but filling enough to give them the energy to keep trekking along. "So we're looking out for a male trainer, age 12 with brown hair and a yellow shirt with jeans." He said aloud, reminding them both of the description his mother gave them after she failed to hear that her young son had gotten through to Laverre City. These calls were usually nothing but the dreadful fantasies of overprotective mothers with too much time on their hands but considering the route in question, Nathan and Cori knew better than to assume everything was alright. "We should check that spooky house to the west near the city...if he ran into any other trainers out here, he could have been coaxed in there for some reason." Nathan mentioned as they walked along. He had on dark jeans and over that, long black boots. He had on a pale mustard colored wind breaker and under it, was a blue and white striped shirt with a black pokeball logo on the back. His stomach his growled and he patted it, trying to soothe it. They had another couple of hours before they earned a break, much less a snack. "I know this grim is unwelcome by us both but remember...we're doing...doing good." He finally managed to yank his foot out of a sunken bit of the marsh as they slowly went along, being careful of where they stepped. The last thing either needed to do, was to rile up any tricky pokemon in the area. "When we were younger, gosh I sound old...when we were younger, kids could be cruel." He pointed out. Even though they liked to think the best of people, some of them weren't very good. Nathan rubbed the back of his neck as he kept his other hand safely in his warm jacket pocket. Their service was meant to help stranded people and pokemon and the pay was slowly increasing, but it really wasn't about that. Still, it did mean they could finally afford the people in their live, to have good Christmas presents. He imagined the cookies and candies and found his mouth beginning to drool. He let out a dreamy sigh and pouted. "With any luck, this kid is just scared and alright. We can make him a hot cup of tea and get the hell outta here where we can get a good hot meal that doesn't come from the super market." Food was a good distraction, but also a motivator for Nathan. Corinne had shopping, he had food.
