Yoshino barely had time to make it to her office before her expected arrivals did. After giving a brief farewell to Retsu, she headed straight there without a second thought even as the first bell began to ring. Entering her office, she informed the rest of the Council to excuse Morgan Hazelnut from their first period before sitting down in her chair, sighing out as yet another day of work awaited her. What she didn't know was that one other had entered the waiting room in that time. Oh well. More people to lecture. "You can come in Morgan Hazelnut," the Student President called out from her office. Said office held one long table with Yoshino sitting at the very end. A second chair was provided at the end closest to the door, ensuring that the unfortunate fool that had dared to break school rules and conduct would have no choice but to confront their Student President head on. To Yoshino, it was both an asset....and a curse. Morgan’s head perked up as she heard her name called. This wasn’t the first time she had been caught, though she didn’t know if she would be able to get out of as easily as times before. Technically, she hadn’t done anything wrong and could probably get by on that alone. Morgan stood up and calmly entered the room, shutting the door behind her. “You wanted to see me, President?” Morgan gave a quick friendly smile as she sat down in the chair in front of her. "Yes, I wanted to talk to you about your behavior. Please, take a seat," Yoshino said with a neutral expression, directing Morgan over towards the lone chair before her. A second sigh escaped the Student President as she leaned back. Adjusting her glasses, she looked at Morgan's shoulder as her eyes softened just slightly. "I'm told you called in sick today. And yet there you were standing right next to the Rules and Administration Office, where you could have been seriously injured. Would you like to tell me why you lied to the school?" Yoshino's voice held no malice, only a need to understand. "I actually never said I was sick, I... I really just needed a break from life. I was just remembering about the little time I spent with my dad, and how I never grew up without a mother. It’s nothing I really should've skipped school for, I know, but I was just….” Morgan’s voice trailed off as she started grinning on the inside. This was a typical excuse Morgan gave when in a pinch, as most just sighed and let whatever slide by, sometimes allowing the behavior to continue. “And as for why I was at the Records and Administration Office, I-“ Morgan stumbled a bit, as the words just came out of her mouth before actually thinking of an excuse. “I… just needed to get out of the house, and was there without actually realizing it.” Morgan grimaced as she knew she had messed up that last line. Although should it come to it, Morgan figured it wouldn’t probably be that bad if the president actually knew the truth, maybe actually gaining an ally with power if she had enough of the curiosity within her. "Oh is that so?" Yoshino said with amusement. "As I recall, the office told me that you were coughing quite vehemently over the phone when you called in. So unless you were practicing your acting skills, I have no reason to believe that you didn't call in sick. As for you parents, there's no need to lie to me Morgan. As the Student President, it's my duty to know not only the names of all the students currently attending, but also their backgrounds as well." Yoshino leaned in before saying, "Be honest Morgan. Why were you really hanging around the Records and Administration Office? Surely you know that it would have been next to impossible for you to break in? Furthermore, if I am to believe your story, why choose the Records and Administration Office to bide your time at? Unless you were acting on instinct and your subconscious, I can only assume you went there willingly." “I-“ Morgan sighed. She knew she messed up, and even if the president did know, she had been caught. “Truth is I wanted to find out, above all, who the Black King really was. Not, that I was going to do anything, but with my last encounter with her, I saw something more than the legends led on. In the game we all wear a mask, but there seemed a sadness behind her’s. I know it wasn’t anything more than speculation, but it piqued my curiosity enough to want to try to get to know the real her….. And, the other reason I wanted in the Records building is really something I can ask now, if you’ll forgive me. What does your mask look like? I know you’re busy with this and that, running the school, but surely it can’t be good for your future if you neglect it.” The Student President held back a sigh. Honestly, did everyone feel the need to pity her all of a sudden? It wasn't she did anything worthy of it so why was it happening now? First Retsu and now Morgan. Yoshino shook her head, fiddling with her glasses. "You're not the first one to be curious about my client's true identity. Nor will you be the last Morgan. There's a reason why the Black King would prefer to be kept hidden forever and it's for the same reason I despise video games, especially Deep Ground Online. As for your analogy of masks, I can proudly say that I wear one of ambition. Ambition both for my school career and for the goals of the Black King. Perhaps there was once a being similar to a saddened shell that you've described long ago," she mused, taking pause to place an intense glance upon the younger girl. "But whatever regrets I may have once had are gone now. All I can afford to worry about is the future's accimplishments and the present outcome." “Ah, excuse me then. I didn’t mean to pry into secrets, only to gaze upon the colors of people’s souls.” That last bit Morgan was sure she picked up from somewhere, but didn’t know where. “I suppose now that we’ve resolved my punishment, I should take my leave….” Morgan slowly stood, and started to backtrack towards the door. “Best get home, and out of your way.” Morgan said, giving the same smile she had entered the room with. "I'll overlook you skipping school just this once," Yoshino replied with a smile. "Take care Morgan Hazelnut. Although I cannot provide you with the answers you seek, know that you are now an alley of the Black King. I hope you and my client get along just as well as we do." Alex was surprised when he was told to wait outside the President's office, surely this wasn't a situation that needed her attention. Seeing the person who entered before him leave, Alex nervously got to his feet and went to the door, knocking before he let himself in. "Umm, you wanted to see me Miss President?" "Oh? Alex Coleman, is that you? Yes, yes, come in," Yoshino called out, looking up from her paperwork. In the short time that Morgan had left, she had retrieved the files for the day and was already working on them diligently. She spared Alex a glance before going back to her paperwork. "And you're here for....what exactly? Unless you're the one who disrupted the PA system?" "Well, probably? I'm not entirely sure if it's because of my the PA system is playing music" Lingering by the door a moment later Alex closed it behind him and made his way to a chair. "I know that it's my music, that playlist is one my Dad made for me and I misplaced my music player sometime last night, so I guess I am partly responsible? Or completely if you think that giving someone access to your stuff and it being used is full responsibility," he knew he was rambling, but when your in front of what is basically the Queen of Purple Crown, the atmosphere couldn't help but get to him. Again, Yoshino smiled kindly at the student in front of her. She placed away her paper work before saying, "I figured it was an accident. I'll admit, you got me riled up there Alex. I was expecting a full time deliquent Nagato Kenji to pull off something like this. Thank goodness it's only you." Kenji Nagato was a smoker and a punk. It made sense given that he was the Green King after all and like all the other Colored Kings, he made his real life identity no secret to anyone willing to listen. Which was everyone. Rumors even had it that he dated the current Blue King. Right before he went up and dumped her. Yoshino had nothing but loathing for him. "I suppose he wouldn't care if it was an accident or not Kenji would simply enjoy the joke of it" sighing Alex wondered if he could really keep up with the Green King, especially since he seemed to have his eye on him and when a powerful jerk has his eye on you, you try to keep your head down and toe the line. "I'm not really qualified for any guild other than the Fanged Rangers anyway Miss President. Having support powers basically renders me pretty useless outside of a group and the Rangers are the one group I can hope to level up enough to be competent... sorry, I shouldn't complain, you don't care about this stuff." rubbing the bridge of his nose Alex tried to relax, "I lost my music player in the auditorium, it might still be there, but I thought that if I was seen going in there, the music stopping and then coming out with it, I would be brought here anyway so this is me trying to save my neck I suppose." he felt rather pitiful admiting it. "It's rather brute of you to say something like that Alex. I am your Student President after all. It's my job to care about this stuff," Yoshino joked warmly. "Seeing as this was all an accident, I'll give you time off during this first period for you to retrieve. That should put things back in order, yes?" Going back to her work, Yoshino scribbled some notes down before pausing. She looked up again, adjusted her glasses, and gave Alex a serious look. She was probably one of the few who knew he was really Unrelenting Jukebox now; as Student President, it was her duty to make sure no one else knew either for privacy. "Alex. Maybe you should consider joining another Guild. I hate to be a solicitor, but the Black Guild needs strong Players like you. Kenji's Guild...despite their doctrine of helping others level up, that way of thinking ends up being fruitless when their leader is a complete a-...well you get the point." Being called a 'strong player' caused Alex to laugh in a self-depricating manner "Miss President... I would never call myself a strong player. I'm a player that might get by on a prayer, being with someone levels above me or by simply doing something so rediculous no one knows how to react. I'm not strong, if I was strong I wouldn't be in the Fanged Rangers, if I was strong I would probably be a Cobalt Bruiser." Thinking that he was being rude Alex hastily added, "Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered that you're suggesting that I join the Black Guild, but at best I would be making a latteral shift while simultaniously making Kenji an enemy." truthfully Alex wouldn't mind leaving the Fanged Rangers, he didn't really have any ties to them beyond the fact that they got him to level three quickly and that isn't really a good enough reason to stay. "I see. Well I am glad to see you with such strong resolve. And you can't blame me for trying, right? Just be careful then Alex. I'm not saying this because I'm your Student President. I'm saying this because I'm your fellow Purple Crown peer," Yoshino said with honesty. "Now then. If that's all, you'd best hurry up and retrieve that CD player of yours. Until next time, Alex." Yoshino parted him with one last smile before going back to her paperwork. First period was halfway over now so he would have to rush if he wanted to make it back in time. He was about to clarify that it wasn't a CD player, but figured that the President didn't really care "Thank you, Miss President". Moving in a respectful manner Alex exited the office, making as little sound as possible. Once out, Alex all but ran for the auditorium to get his player back. The auditorium's front entrance hadn't been unlocked today, so exhausted from his run Alex had to once again use his side entrance key. Making it to the sound booth Alex let all his built up tension melt away, it was still there. Relatively small faded and faded pink in colour, plugged in to the machinery. After powering down all the sound board Alex snatched the player out of it, killing the music, and stumbled out of the auditorium.
