Mars
Mars narrowed hiseyes at Candice, not appreciating her tone of voice or her commanding of him, but he did as she commanded . . . then proceeded to sneak three other pairs of the fabric into his pockets. He didn't know what they were, only that they seemed to causr Candicd face to change at the sight of them, and since Mars found the human more entertaining when her face was red, he would keep them ready for use in case things got boring. As he followed her into town, he wondered about what she'd said regarding his abilities. The thoughts and words brought flickerings of something to his mind, but he couldn't ever grasp them as thry flew back into his subconscious like dust on the wind. He wasdisteacted from his thoughts, however, as soon as he arrived in town, the barrage of unfamiliar sights freezing him in his tracks with wonder. He was so enraptured by everything around him, the people especially drawing his interest by how varied they appeared, he hadn't noticed the kerfuffle goung on until Candice pointed it out. That was when things would take a turn for the worse. Mars'eyes would instantly focus on the tallest figure there, then slide over the rest of those in attendance in order of outward hostility. He felt something stirring inside, a pounding drum that seemed to only increase in sound the more he tried to block it out. He began to twitch inna frantic manner, his eyes amd stripes taking on a dim, golden glow, the myraid of colors normally in them being completely consumed by the glows intensity. All of his attention was focused on the big one, his body automatically getting ready for his next move. Unknown to him, he'd activated his energy ability instinctively, fueling himself so that his body would become faster than normal. Before Candice could say anything, Mars was off, his already impressive speed being boosted even further by his ability in a way that even the most experienced of them, Chromite, would be somewhat surprised by how fast he had moved, if she had noticed the gem before his arrival. He'd have appeared in front of Amber, a somewhat psychotic smile on his face as he woukd launch the bigger gem into a nearby building with a hard round kick to the stomach area, the strong kick being augmemted further by the momentum it had gained from his added speed. Luckily, the building that Amber would crash into was free of people, being one of the last buildings in need of repairs ftrom the previous attack. Mars would look at where the dust was settling with a since of exhilaration, his face lighting up like a chirstmas tree as a new sense of satisfaction flowed through his core. I don't know what this feeling is . . . but I want, no, I need mire of it. This . . .this is the best feeling I've ever had The smile on his facd changed into a predatory grin as he burst forward seconds after the orange gem, attempting go launch him out the back of the store, regardless of whether he was just standing up or not even off the ground yet. "Come on, you can't be finshed already, we're just getting started!!" While his battle lust grew, Mars began to see whispers of a battlefield long forgotten and a foe long since defeated overlapping with reality. Mars couldn't tell which was real and which was just more images, but he currently couldn't care less if he tried. Right now, he wanted to feel that same rush of excitement, and it seemed like the best way to do that was to keep attacking the giant orange guy. [@Saarebas] [@21308] [@Guardian Angel Haruki]
