I don't understand if he'd disingenuous and manipulates people or if he just pretends to be nice to make people feel better, or something. And is his weapon a shuriken/gauntlet/gun combo? I would normally say a throwing weapon that transforms into a firearm would be a little ridiculous, but Pyrrha has a rifle that turns into a spear, so I can't say nuthin', I guess. XD
