[@Remipa Awesome] Mithias began walking and the two went down to the shore. It was good to catch Hank smile for once. He talked as he walked, hands clasped behind his back. "I did. Her name was Evelyn. She had brown hair and blue eyes. She was the first daughter of a teacher. Our marriage was more of an arrangement by our families, but we did love each other." Mithias sighed. He'd told this story so many times. "It didn't last long, as those were the days of the Inqusition. I was a Templar by lineage, and therfore, so was she, and so was our son to be. Gabriel gave me the power to resque them, and for that, I am ever greatful. But once turned, my appearance was obvious, and if she had known that I had sacrificed my soul to save her, she would have never forgiven me. It would have terrified her, and I can't say I was all that clear-headed either. My biggest regret, Hank, is that I couldn't be a human father. Times were harsh, and Evelyn had to surrender my child to the church, abandoned as an orphan, to be indoctrinated in the very system that destroyed his family. I did my best to watch them constantly, and suddenly, years passed, generations passed. My family spread, and I so loved them. It is Gabriel I have to thank for this. How could I ever repay him for such a gift?" This Gabriel wasn't sounding like such a bad guy afterall... << >> *cough* Mithias thought he caught Hank looking just the slightest bit relieved, and he stopped walking to tear down those fantasies. "Now before you get to thinking that you're in the clear, I must tell you that Gabriel is..." He tried to find the words. "...bat-shit insane."
