"That's Bloodstone to you now." Aquamarine was a little taken back and stunned for a second, letting her hand drop down limp by her side as she brows furrowed in confusion. She hadn't realized the slip up for a second, that she had called him Blood and not Bloodstone as she promised she would since the moment she had told the other a month ago not to call her Aqua. Her words ringing in her head suddenly caused her to blush and pout as Blood laughed at her expense, losing the cool he had been keeping as a mask and probably one he just put up to mess with her. She felt a wave of sadness as he spoke of the corrupted gem, remembering Howlite's terrified eye peering between her gray fingers right before she shattered. That image would continue to haunt her for a long time but at least Bloodstone had saved the other gems from having to fight but that small warmth she felt as he spoke suddenly stalled as he spoke his last words. The churn of anger boiled slowly at what he had just implied, knowing or not, that he had yet again stated in some way that he would never turn on them but implied that she would. Aqua quickly shook it off, trying to stay positive and not cause a scene since it could be nothing after all. She watched him turn around, continuing his walk towards the warp pad as he had planned earlier and figured that he wanted to leave as soon as possible. She was a little surprised that Blood continued to speak with her and talking about how these newborns were the future. She wanted a future that benefited them as well but what would do that is letting them live their own lives as they choose. Aquamarine felt as if someone had stabbed her as he spoke his next words, her arms subconsciously crossing to hug where the white ribbon on her body was. Now she knew why he had let her live more than once and why he had been nice to her on more than one occasion so far. The young newborns wanted her and until they wanted him, she had a purpose for being alive and once he taught them what they needed to know or what he thought was everything they needed to know then she would be disposable. She should have known that, they were enemies after all but it hurt none the least to hear him say it. If that had been the worse of it than she probably would have been fine but each word he spoke did more harm to her fragile emotional state than he could realize. She understood that he would know a good deal she didn't information wise but the second it switched to strength that is when the pain and anger increase by the second making her emotional state worse. Use their powers? Strengthen their powers? That is what he meant by teach them things you can't? Not knowledge like she thought but insulting her! If she taught them their power then she would make them weak is what he was saying. That she would make them easy to destroy in any future battle. She had shaded her eyes long before he offered his hand out to her, now offering for the hand shake he all but refused earlier. It started out as a giggle and before she could control herself, she was full on laughing as tears streaked down her faces and still holding herself with her head tilted down. Aqua's head popped up but her eyes were a dark glare with a stream of tears and her held back always in check anger flared as she spoke sarcastically,"I am glad to see not everything changes." Ice sharply snapped around her with every word, subconsciously keeping it away from the newborns in the room. "You still don't think I am strong. You still see me as nothing but pathetic, needing you to be stronger cause I am that much weaker... Well, I am not weak...They are not weak. I believe in them and I know that I can teach the their powers. Besides, I wouldn't want to bring you down again as you so elegantly put it before slicing me in two." she said harshly, her words cold and her eyes full of fury at the insults she had suffered about not being good enough. Why am I never good enough for you?...
