Call me Cara, please. ⋙ I am in my early 30s, and am an American living on the east coast after living overseas in Europe and Asia for the better part of a decade. ⋙ I spend the majority of my time writing/reading, drawing/painting, or playing Skyrim and ElderscrollsOnline. I usually have some sort of television series or movie on in the background for noise because it helps me focus. Yesterday, it was Seven Deadly Sins. Today, its Mad Men. Tomorrow, its Supernatural. ⋙ I love comedy, suspense, and crime television. Comedy movies. Historical, fantasy, and romance novels. I really don't care for sci-fi writing content, so I'll always shun the space war role plays or the apocalyptic war stories. I'll always be a Medieval Lady. ⋙ I'm obnoxiously perverted and I have the mouth of a sailor, so yes, be prepared for some dirty and foul language. ⋙ I have two jobs, the first of those as the position of mom and wife. Second, is the "Master Vampire" in a bloodlab. I love it. It keeps me busy. As such, I may not be online all hours of the day, but I'll be on often enough to keep up. No exceptions. I don't care if you're seventeen but you've 'been role playing for years' or you're 'mature for your age'. It makes me uncomfortable. ⟴ In relation to the previous note, I like mature content. All forms of it; from bloodshed to torture to sex. I'm not really for smut, because I like my stories a bit more complicated than 'want sum fuk', so all of my romance stories are required to have an in-depth plot. ⟴ Casual to Low-Advanced Role Playing. I can spit out anywhere between one to ten paragraphs, depending on the amount of content and/or the depth of the story. I am not a grammar nazi in regards to posts; my English was bad, I'm dyslexic, and I miss a lot of mistakes, even with proof-reading. I hate txt or 1337 speak, but so long as I can understand what you're writing, I could care less about spelling and grammar mistakes on your end. ⟴ I work almost exclusively through PMs. Its easier to keep track of, I can be a bit more loose with my savagery, and I don't have to worry about offending anyone with the way I cut throats. If you want to work in the forums, I can be convinced, but I'll adjust my writing to avoid offending passing observers. I have noticed people are so easily offended nowadays. ⟴ I prefer plots with medieval time settings, first and foremost. As I stated earlier, I am absolutely lost when it comes to futuristic, apocalyptic, and modern settings. Fantasy is my big second. I love elves to an obsessive level, and I'm always attempting to broaden my horizon. Playing ESO for a few years has given me some practice in vampires, werewolves, orcs, and dark elves. I usually prefer some romance, though its not a requirement. I will not, however, touch furries. Do not even ask. (Its a phobia, I can't help it). I also won't consider any role play that involves incest or the 'slice of life' genre. I write to escape real life. Plus, to be honest, I don't see the creativity in writing about what you do day to day. I like more of a challenge. ⟴ Alongside the preferable time settings, I will usually try to keep close to original stories and characters. While I'm picky about the fandoms I'll agree to, (which is almost completely limited to Elderscrolls, Game of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings), I will always venture as far away from the marketed story line as possible. Following specific movie/book plots kills a bit of the creative freedom. ⟴ As well as loving the mature content, I insist on realistic writing. If your character gets stabbed, your character is stabbed. Aches. Risk of infection. Fevers. Lack of appetite. In need of stitches. The whole kit and caboodle. While I (more often than not) tend to reserve my main character(s), I do slaughter a lot of secondaries. And I get brutal with it. I have had characters that struggle with depression and attempt/commit suicide because of what they've seen or even done. Your characters are people. They have fears and obsessions, flaws and strengths. I don't like working with Mary Sue characters.
