Funny, I read the post and instantly guessed that Escre would be mad. But then again, he turned a blind eye to necromancy and the trapping/stealing of souls.
Necromancy was simply some minor screwing around in a major operation. Like a string of 1000-dollar thefts in a multi-million-dollar corporation. Changing how the system itself works, however, is like passing new laws that restrict and phase out parts of that corporation, forcing huge shifts and loss of revenue. It's much more dire, and the perpetrator of said malfeasance, much more a high-profile wrong-doer. Escre would be disheveled by the new realms because the Spirit already performed a function. It strips away the memories and properties a soul gained in its life, storing them over the course of several lifetimes. Good and evil aren't forgotten, but removed so that the spirit may continue. In the eyes of Escre, spirits themselves are not to be wasted in sizable quantities. Necromancy, to my knowledge, wasn't a permanent blip in the cycle. If the undead is destroyed a second time, the soul continues on. Huge amounts of spirits being stuck in heaven or hell for eternity would be a big disruption in the process, and require a constant manufacture of new spirits to replace the ones forever lost.
