A Preppy trying to directly interact with Punks is apparently like a Russian diplomat trying to rope a bunch of American militiamen into doing some dirty work for them. Had you attempted to interact with someone who [i]doesn't[/i] have a reason to distrust your character and their faction, things probably would have gone better.
