School was out, Deep Ground was up, and Asahi was ready to go back, kick ass, and take names. But before he could do that, he had a message. It was a missive for a job. "Eh, what's up?"
To: Arms Slave From: NO SENDER Subject: NO SUBJECT Crimson Lash Golden Apple Unrelenting Jukebox Shielder Dunk Master Flan Smitten Kitten Moolah Monger Azga the Amazing Iron Keep Taicho Tengu Pyonta Alpha Rocket Lancer
Always the same person with the same message in the same format. The first list of names were Outlaws Asahi needed to take down. The second list were a couple of street-level Sweepers he could work with. Normally Asahi just hung out with his old friends, but he was always willing to join up with some other guys. Who knows, maybe one of these Sweepers were new to the game. Asahi liked showing newbies the ropes. Asahi headed home alone. Most of his friends seemed to have things to do, which was cool with him. He didn't really have anything planned cept maybe do some work and Deep Ground. As he was heading home he noticed a short runt that he was familiar with. Asahi called him out. "Ayo Donny! How's it hanging man? Took care of that bully for ya. He shouldn't be bother you again." Donny was some 13 year old kid, new to Deep Ground, seemed like he hooked up with the wrong person and got in over his head. Asahi dealt with it however. The two chatted a bit about their day, their plans, and then parted ways. Asahi crossed the bridge from yesterday, noting some officers slogging through the river below looking for the shmuck from yesterday. He just smiled and kept on walking. Eventually Asahi reached home and went straight to his room. The servants were making dinner but he'd get it later. First thing first: homework. He hated it, but he had to keep up a GPA or else they'll penalize him in Deep Ground. Some people didn't know about that, but it was a very under-the-table thing that he only picked up after noticing his EXP rates were wrong. It was a bitch to deal with since he had to spent time actually doing school things instead of Deep Ground, but it wasn't as though he couldn't. He just didn't want to. Turning on some music Asahi quietly opened up his book. Before he started working however, he shot a message to those Sweepers he might be working with.
