Ashburn ____________________ "Like what something over here sir." "I'm good man" Ash said, blushing very red. 'I hope that was a joke about reading minds because I'm not sure he wants to know everything that goes on in my head.' The thought sent shivers down his spine. He had some demons that he did not want known by anyone, because he was far from perfect and didn't want anyone to see his dark side. Before he could reply to Eric finally Ash was able to pull up to the window, and was greeted by a 16 year old guy wearing a headset and a polo in the worst shade of orange. Looking over his thick spectacles he raised an eyebrow at the odd men buying burgers, but politely didn't question. "Your total is $8.36" He said Pulling the money out of his visor Ash handed the guy $9.00 all in ones. The money had been put there to be given to the beggars on the street corners. Ash couldn't stand to see them and not help so he'd put ones up there and would hand $1 to anyone that needed it. It wasn't much but he was to poor to afford any more. Guilt for spending donation money "Thanks" the teen replied, grabbing the change and two greasy bags and handing them to Ash. "Thank you very much" he said with an awkward attempt at a smile. Handing both bags to Eric he said "They're both for you. I'm not very hungry" Ash lied In truth he was hungry, but for some reason he could tell Eric was more so. He was smaller than Eric and easily a third the weight, judging by the way the truck was sitting, so he couldn't justify it to himself. Setting the GPS on the dash Ash took off down the road, following its directions up and down the awkward streets of the city. When it chimed "You have arrived at your destination" Ash looked up in awe The address was a massive hotel, a literal skyscraper in the heart of down town. The glass and steel behemoth was easily 60 stories and seemed to exude money. The small gardens in front of the tower had a beautiful marble fountain and a marble overhang showed where guests were supposed to pull up. "Hotel Westcott" was emblazoned in gold above the doors. "Toto I don't think we're in Kansas anymore" Ash said in awe as he pulled up slowly. Feeling conspicuously out of place. Awe, some fear, hunger and nervousness
