Emerald Felicia vs Sangue Naga
Emmy found herself looking around for her opponent, one Sangue Naga according to her scroll. Her scroll convently gave her a picture of her opponent, and since Sangue one of the few red heads there it wasn't too difficult find her. With a grin she leaped forward, using her semblance to practically glide through the air until she landed in front of Sangue. "Well hi! I'm Emerald Felica!" She greeted, giving her a wave. Sangue blinked. She had dozed off for a brief moment, but of course, her knowledge on her incoming spar did not fade from her mind. The woman known as Emerald... She seemed quite bubbly. A preferable alternative to people who talk about the wrongest of things as if it were some sort of common language. She also had fuzzy ears. Sangue liked fuzzy things. The red-haired swordswoman bowed slightly, her eyes slightly closed. Looking back up, she simply answered, "I am... Sangue." The woman made no movements for her weapons, as she planned on preparing them when battle is imminent. One of her fastest attacks came from her unsheathing her blade, after all. Though she doubted she could keep up well with such a bubbly and happy-looking person, she decided that she would see this spar as a time to analyze her own physical status. "Hi," she barely let out after a brief moment of silence from her. "Nice to meet you!" Emmy responded, her own weapons already attached to her arms, as it was the only way she really had to carry them, they were really big shotguns, and they looked even bigger on the small Faunus' arms. "I guess we're gonna fight soon, should be fun right?" The red-haired woman nodded. She always found fun in battles. Her opponent was loaded with firearms. That itself seemed like a challenge Sangue would look forward to, seeing how she only had melee weapons. "Yes..." The woman raised her free hand by her blade's grip, though she had yet to firmly grasp it. "I am... looking forward to it." Emmy nodded, getting a good look at the other girl. She hadn't noticed before, but she seemed to have a big metal claw instead of a right arm, that was interesting. She would of asked how she got it, but that would have been rude. Me too! I-" She was interrupted by the announcement that it would soon be time for them to start, in but a few moments. "I guess we're starting, good luck!" She attempted to salute, but it look rather weird with the gun attached to her arm and she nearly bumped her own head. "Whoops!" Sangue blinked as she watched the peculiar girl attempt to salute with a huge shotgun arm... Soon, the red-haired woman found herself clutching the grip of her blade, her eyes locked onto her sparring opponent. She took a deep breath... Sangue slowly took out her blade. Emmy grinned, facing Sangue she wrapped her hands around her weapons' triggers. She let her left arm fall imp while she raised the other toward Sangue, pointing her weapon at her. "Your move." Without hesitation, the red-haired woman swung the Apophis Claw towards Emmy's direction. It made a half-moon arc as it approached the shotgun-wielding Huntress. As the Claw flew towards the armed opponent, Sangue quickly dashed towards her sparring opponent to slash at her direction. Emmy's eyes widened as the claw swung out, she had no idea that it could do that! She leaped backwards to avoid the attack, though her opponent dashed forward. Emmy responded with a blast from her the shotgun on her right arm, pointed at Sangue's center. Emmy's weapons were designed to do more damage the closer her target was, and the force of the blast was enough to send even the heavest opponent flying off their feet. She just hoped she was quick enough to avoid Sangue's attack. Sangue raised her blade by her chest as she abruptly turned herself, taking advantage of her own speed as she approached the opponent. The shotgun blast instead hit the chains of her Apophis Claw, forcing the swordswoman to pull at the claw towards her direction again. Significantly slowed down during her charge towards Emmy, the red-haired blade user spun in place before throwing the Apophis Claw once more, this time in a slightly straighter path. This time, she began to run in a zig-zag fashion. Though she was not fast enough to avoid bullets by sheer instinct, she at least had the confidence to remain unharmed from the bullets until she got a bit closer to her foe. She knew that a firearm user could quickly end Sangue's combat ability if she made a few mistakes, so she hoped that she wouldn't make such mistakes... which might just happen now that she thought about it. Her attack had missed! Though she had to admit she would have been disappointed if it had been that easy. Right now Sangue was trying to close the distance between them, which was bad for Emmy, she needed to keep Sangue at a distance or she wouldn't have a chance. She had one way to do that, her semblance. She stretched out her arms and used her semblance, creating a powerful blast of wind large enough to push Sangua and her Apophis away from her, it was a purely defense move, but her next one wasn't. This time she aimed both her weapons at Sangue and opened fire, firing both simultaneously. Blown away by the blast of wind, Sangue tumbled on the ground once before skidding across the ground with her two feet. She quickly stabbed the ground to force herself to stop moving, which also abruptly stopped the Apophis Claw as well. The red-haired swordswoman raised her blade as her scarless eye opened wide at the sight of two firearms being blasted at her direction. The distance allowed Sangue to deflect some of the bullets, but this forced her to be pushed away from Emmy further and further. After deflecting several more quick projectiles, she quickly pushed herself to the side and use one of the bullets to ricochet away to another direction. From there, she threw the Apophis Claw at the firearm Huntress's direction as she began running with her head low. The Claw landed slightly away from Emmy, its sharp edges latching onto the ground mercilessly. Sangue Naga jumped high before proceeding to spin vertically, her blade surrounding the front of her body as she plummeted at a quick speed. As she landed, Sangue stopped spinning and used her momentum to pull the Claw out of the ground she smashed it against as she threw it into the air. The Apophis Claw headed for Emmy with a faster speed than usual, though it did seem to fly quite high in the air. Emmy's head followed Sangue as she darted around the room and then flew up into the air. Emmy thought it was pretty awesome, until the Apophis Claw came speeding towards her way faster than she liked. "Wahhhh!" She noticed too late, and barely had time to cross her arms in front of her, using her weapons like a shield. The Apophis Claws slammed into them, the force of which send Emmy flying backwards. She crashed into the floor and rolled a bit before coming to a stop. When Emmy was pushed back by the Apophis Claw, Sangue proceeded to go a bit more aggressively. Her blade by her waist, the red-haired swordswoman dashed and slashed horizontally as she skidded towards her sparring opponent. The Claw reeled towards her direction and followed her movements. A gleam appeared in Emmy's eyes as Sangue moved in closer, still lying on the floor, the kitten quickly rolled to her side, her weapons now facing Sangue. Both her weapons fired with a loud, thunderous boom. With as close as Sangue was, Emmy was confident at least one of her shots would hit, and at this close it would take a good chunk of her opponent's aura. The red-haired swordswoman grit her teeth as she felt one of the shotguns attacking at her aura. Tumbling in the air, Sangue threw her Apophis Claw at Emmy once more, this time in an half-moon arc below herself. Emmy was in a bit of a bind, as she was still lying on the ground dodging the claw that was flying toward her was going to be difficult. She used her own semblance to try to blow herself away but found the claw swiping into her leg as she did. Her aura took the blow for her, but she gritted her teeth all the same, her aura certainly took a hit from that. She knew she had to strike back before Sangue attacked again, so as she landed on her feet she opened fire, this time a bit more rapidly as she began to fire a constant barrage of shot toward her opponents direction it sounded like cannons constantly firing. The worst happened as Sangue landed. Dodging to her side, the swordswoman was only able to dodge about twice before getting hit by another cannon blast. Realizing at this point that she could only dodge for so long, the Huntress concluded that she needed to make (what could be possibly) one final charge and risk herself into attacking Emmy. Sangue dashed to her side and threw her Apophis Claw in a straight line. That was when Emmy dashed to the side, avoiding the Apophis Claw's straight path as she manuveured around it and then ran at Sangue. It was an unusual move, as getting closer to a melee fighter would seem like an unwise decision. Emmy began to fire again at Sangue as she drew closer, the closer she got the more likely Sangue would get hit with the full force of her attacks. As rare as unorthodox moves were used in serious fights for practical reasons, Emerald's surprise technique managed to not only escape what would have been a decisive move for Sangue, but also to close the distance separating the young ladies. At this range, either a good slice with a blade or a shotgun blast would end the match, and both knew it. The air itself was suffused with the tension, and the crowd was dead-silent. Carried forward by her momentum, Emmy pressed her advantage against a fatigued Sangue, who raised her sword and recalled the Apophis Claw simultaneously. It wasn't, however, quick enough. In a flash the contest was over. The blinking red of Sangue's aura on the giant display monitor was punctuated by the definitive crack of Ms. Goodwitch's riding crop. "Congratulations, miss Felicia. The match is yours. Both of you, however, did splendidly, and will be receiving full marks. Retire to the stands--let me know if those blasts managed to inflict any injury on you, miss Naga. We're almost finished, students. Let's see how many more spars we can fit in before the bell tolls." Emerald sighed in relief, it was over, and she'd won! And they both had gotten full marks no less, not bad for her first day of class. She let her weapons fold up and fall off her arms, glad to no longer have the weight of them on her arms. She went up to Sangue and offered her hand to shake. "Good match, and since I won...you have to be my friend forever!" Emmy beamed
