Well there can be a lot of leverage by finding a way to harm the mortal world, which the Gods/Goddesses seem to prize fairly highly. By disrupting the Seasons from doing their duty, you can put the mortal world in a lot of potential peril. A good example for Brontes, he might find it prudent to capture one of the Seasons as a hostage in response to Amare being held hostage.
