Life had certainly gotten interesting. With an out-law for an in-law, Robin Hood was made the new sheriff of Nottingham. This left the wolf of the old sheriff as the outlaw now as he and his vultures had to survive on raids. Even with the time in the dungeon turned on him, it did not teach him humility, it only reinforced the darkness in his heart until he became something else entirely and broke free, taking the wall to the dungeon with him.

While out collecting the still needed, but far more lenient, taxes. Robin hood was attacked by a massive feral wolf as big as eight elephant-folk standing two abreast and four belly to back. Little John lost his life trying to keep robin safe on the way back but the prince of thieves lost his left arm, he could never draw a bow again. 

Now it came to John Hood, son of Robin and named after his best friend, to save the people from this beast. He stalked into the forest where he found the strangest woodsman's ax just sitting in the stump of a tree trunk. As he drew the weapon, he was attacked by the black wolf into what became a magnificent battle where John took every chance to outwit the brute force of his feral foe until it released a hellish howl that threw him not just through the woods, but through a gate into another world.

King Richard sits upon the throne with his niece by his side. Robin is the new sheriff of Nottingham and has only one arm. The ex-sheriff broke out of prison with his vulture minions. The woods have grown dark and twisted in the last year.
