Which is why I found it odd since that takes just a tad longer to do than merely sending the tip of the sword into a slight turn (resembling a clockwise turn) and flipping that same edge and sending it the other way without losing to much time. It'd be a very fast movement Dj might not have time to even block while retaining your momentum. 

Anyway, I of course assume Judgment is using his weapon to the best of his ability(he has a huge amount of training of not experience), I just wanted to know if he was using one hand or two hands.

Oh no, he's not reversing his grip at all with the false slash, he reversed his grip while launching the knee strike and then stuck with the left hand leading grip for the left right slash and the false slash. Like I said, I imagine it a bit like paddling a boat, but with more footwork.
