[@Loony] Wow, that really is terrible.  I would have been ready to threaten to call CPS or somebody.  I'm glad you were there, because holy crap that's awful.  I mean, I get why people might be tentative about going near somebody else's kid, but there are situations where it's obviously okay.  It was good of you to help.
