Seth quickly jumped back from Bluebeard’s attack. He had only created the gauntlets, just in case he needed a last minute defense. What he was really doing was stalling for time so the navy could come and take care of Bluebeard. He didn’t want his cover blown and also wanted to make sure whoever Bluebeard was chasing got away safely. He feared Bluebeard would run after the kid if Seth continued to avoid his attacks, so his only other option was to anger Bluebeard. [i]Well, here goes nothing[/i]. Seth thought. “So, that’s all you got? I’m beginning to think your bounty is nothing more than a fluke. Hell, Whitebeard would have finished me off by now and the fat Blackbeard would have too. I guess I picked the wrong pirate to make a name for myself. Oh well, maybe you’re all bark and no bite,” Seth said with a smile.[i] Come on, take the bait[/i]. Seth thought. He was worrying that the navy wouldn’t show up and he’d need to rethink his plan, but he had faith in them. he just needed a little more time.
