When Tocsax stepped in to provide a not-so-snarky explanation of the situation, Mach grabbed his helmet put it back on. And then Joshua gave his response. No one could see it, but Mach rolled his eyes under his helmet. This guy was really starting to sound like an absolute prick. Even when he was offering to join their quest, he apparently felt the need to do it in the most backhanded way imaginable. Finally having enough, Mach stepped back up to Joshua and gave him a total death-stare from behind his visor, "You know, I don't think I want your help." he said, deciding to briefly drop his snarky shenanigans and be blunt for a change. "You're arrogant, you clearly don't give a crap about any of us or our mission, so why should I even trust you?" he went on, not relenting in his explaining just why he hated the man's guts, "And on top of everything else, you're kind of an asshole." Yes, it was true that he himself was known to be an arrogant ass, but the difference between the two of them was that, unlike Joshua, at least Mach actually gave a crap about others. Sure, Tocsax had to do a little brow-beating to convince him to join up, but Mach did in fact join the mission out of a genuine desire to help the universe. This asshole? He just cared about protecting his little girlfriend and was more likely to stab them all in the back if he had to choose between them and her. That made him a liability, and Mach made it pretty clear that he had no intention of working with anyone he considered a liability.
