Interested! need to think up a character now. I'm guessing it's implied that consciousnesses transferred into Automata via palladium may be altered or modified. Can an automaton whose consciousness comes from a donor be made to believe that they never had a human body to begin with, that they are an AI even though they're not? Just curious because having a subservient AI might be desirable were it not for the difficulty of making one, so using an existing consciousness as a template might be more feasible. I might make a character like this if it is allowed.

Yes, that is certainly doable. You could also take the consciousness of an animal and move it to an automaton, altering it for the better.
OK, so here's the idea, someone with high status (a magus or off-shoot member of the royal family AKA a noble) lost a child at a very young age and commissioned a perfect facsimile to be made as an obsessive substitute. An urchin (homeless child, not the spiny sea-dwelling creature) was abducted off the streets and his mind implanted into the facsimile and rewritten to be as close in mind and personality as the original child. The facsimile would look as lifelike as possible. The outer layer would be silver made to appear, feel, and behave like skin. Under the skin is a network of mercury to repair the skin when it is damaged, giving it the ability to heal in a skin-like way. There would be a mechanical skeleton underneath it all, made with iron and/or copper, maybe even some aluminum to offset the weight and make the overall weight seem more 'child-like'. Everything would be controlled by a palladium brain connected to everything via gold wires. This character would be created as a 'doll' and/or prized possession, cherished like the child it replaced, growing up in high-society. Of course, this would undoubtedly be an extremely expensive endeavor. The facsimile would not have any built in combat features as the parent had no intention to have it fight or act as a bodyguard or anything of that sort. I ask you mainly because I want to know if it is acceptable to create an automaton that looks perfectly human. If this is fine, then I will get started on this character. Also, can I use a picture in the CS appearance, and are you ok with anime-style images?
