Oh, your explanation just game me the idea to do the reverse! I'll just have a Rinkaku type Kangune and have a special ability to harden it!!! Its going to be marvelous :O Thank you <3

[edit: So basically, I have changed Zheakel's Kagune to be a Rinkaku type Kagune, which mean it will be tail primarily. The hardening ability with just make the tails more durable but more clunky to move so we don't have to mess around the weird Kagune location thingy. During this process the tails would still be able to separate but weight would offset everything that he tries to do until he gets used to the additional weight. So hopefully thats acceptable? If not then I'll just scrap the idea and pick something normal]
