NOLAN Confusion, insecurity, and fear ran rampant through his mind. Why...why did he feel this way? Why was she on his mind now of all times and why was his chest getting tighter and his face burning up? Was he getting sick? Because judging from how he felt like he was going to vomit his breakfast all over the corridors and he couldn't stop shaking. It was so foreign to him that he couldn't tell what exactly was going on with him. Lately his mind has been preoccupied with her for the majority and tried to use the games as a distraction with little success. By the gods what did she do to him to bring him on the bring of insanity?! Thank the gods that she wasn't anywhere near him to see the torment rampaging in his head! He was afraid of women and yet she was on his mind! He kept thinking of his faults and his follies! What she did to him was going to tear his brain in half! Nolan was so wrapped up in his internal conflict that he failed to notice four strangers approach him hesitantly. Judging by their attire it would be safe to say that they were of noble heritage or had come their to a large sum of money. The two men were both wearing stylish suits, one black with a red tie and white collard shirt underneath and the other white with a matching white tie and a light purple collard shirt underneath. The two women's attire was more modern than the frilly dresses that other nobles would wear. One wore a red dress that was above her knees and a black leather jacket that had a crest of one of those absurdly high end clothing stores and the other woman wore fitted jeans that had the crest of Heart Kruez stitched along it and a navy blue jacket to combat the November chill. The woman wearing the navy blue jacket approached Nolan and asked tentatively, "E-excuse me. A-are you Nolan Waltz?" Her whole body was shaking in anticipation for his response. She could hardly contain herself being in front of him. It was hard for her to fight the tears that wanted to swell up. He was pulled out of his thoughts and his attention was brought to a young woman that looked remarkably similar to someone he knew. He then glanced at the three others and the man wearing the black suit had a striking resemblance to Nolan himself except he seemed to be someone in his mid twenties and had handsome trimmed beard and his straight brown hair was slicked back. The young woman on the other hand had the same wavy brown hair as Nolan did. Oddly enough he didn't feel any sort of fear or nervousness towards the woman. "Yes, I am Nolan Waltz. Who are you all?" He watched the woman burst out into tears and the man in the grey suit held her close to him. Nolan's eyes widened in surprise. "W-what did I do?" Walking with great pride the man in the black suit approached Nolan with a smile. "You've done nothing wrong Nolan. It's...it's been awhile since we last saw each other." The man seemed to choked the last words out. It seemed like it was an emotional time for him and the younger woman though why? "You...I don't know you at all. Tell me who you are. Spit it out." Nolan said coldly. His patience was starting to thin fast. He felt like he knew who this man was, but at the same time he couldn't place the name on the face. It frustrated him to no end that he felt something nagging at him, but he couldn't stop thinking that they were so familiar to him. Their voices, their faces...They were much to familiar yet distant like a long ago memory. The man sighed disappointingly and ran his fingers through his hair. "I figured that you wouldn't recognize us. It's been a long time that you last saw our faces. I'll be straight with you Nolan. We're your siblings. Jay and Melody." His words rung through Nolan like lightning. His spine tingled as if electricity danced around it and his body shook. There...there was no way it was true. His siblings died a long time ago during that sea storm. The dead stay dead; there's nothing anyone can do about it. "...I don't have siblings. They've been long since gone from my life. Don't waste any more of my time." He turned heel and was about to walk away before Jay grabbed his arm. "Let go or I'll-." His eyes widened at the sight of an all too familiar locket. The lid was open and it held a picture of a family of five. A five year old Nolan sat on his mother's lap while Melody sat on his father's lap and Jay stood there dignified. Nolan swung his arm free and glared at the man threateningly. "Where did you get this? Did you steal it from their bodies?!" There was no way he could accept this. No way in hell! His siblings were dead and that's that! There would be no argument about that! Jay was shocked by Nolan's outburst, needing to take a step back for fear of his life. "Nolan...we are your siblings. You weren't the only one who survived the storm that night. We looked for you, but we couldn't find you. We thought you were dead for eight long, eight long agonizing years. We only found out that you were alive after you became a member of Phoenix Wing...well, and here we are." Melody sniffled and walked out of the man's hold. "We...we didn't know how to do this so we thought that if Phoenix Wing was in the games then we would be able to get a chance to do this." Silence was the only thing that came from him. What could he say to all of this? What was there to say? His head felt like it was going to explode from his pulsing headache. It was too much. It was way too much to take in. His chest felt it was constricted by a vice-grip and found it harder to breathe. "I...but...I..." Nolan leaned against the wall for support and his breathing turned into rapid gasps for air. His body felt like it was burning up, his hands and feet tingled, his face dripped with sweat, and he shook uncontrollably. Every nerve in his body told him to scream, but not a sound came out of him. His siblings tried to approach him, but he kept stepping back. "This...is too much." He started to mutter in between gasps. His legs began to wobble and then gave way, nearly collapsing before Jay and Melody grabbed a hold of him. They settled him down on the ground. "Nolan deep breaths. Come on, you can do it." Melody said, holding his hand with both to try and calm him down. In the back of her mind she thought that this wasn't how to approach someone in this kind of situation. It was completely out of the blue. Most people would be in shock too if they found out that someone they thought was dead was actually alive. In what seemed to be a bit over ten minutes Nolan had finally come down from his panic attack. Slowly he stood up and took a deep breath to regain composure. "I...really don't know what to say to all of this. I guess I'm...happy? Where do we go from here?" He said questioningly. This was just bizarre. It felt surreal to be talking to people that he had thought were dead for the longest time. It was more like a dream than reality. Hell he wasn't sure if the whole thing really wasn't a dream or some stupid hope that his brain was trying to cling on to. Jay grinned from ear to ear at the thought of having his little brother back in his life. "I can get you a job in my company. It's a lot more secure than playing mage all day." He said with a smirk. "...What the hell do you mean by 'playing mage' all day?" Nolan said with a low growl. "Well if you want real work that gives you a well deserved reward and status then throwing butterflies around isn't gonna do it." Seems like Jay doesn't have the highest regard for occupations of the magical variety. What he didn't expect was getting a punch square to the jaw, knocking him down to the ground. "You...god dammit I thought you would change. This is my life Jay. Just because you can't use magic doesn't mean that it's worthless." Nolan sighed and shook his head. "Perhaps it would've been better if I thought you were dead still." He turned around and began to walk away from him. "W-wait!" Nolan didn't stop walking and soon left his siblings to their own devices. The people they came with just stood their awkwardly and wondered why their spouses dragged them along to begin with. "Dammit...Fucking dammit!" Nolan yelled out in a fit of rage. Eight years he hadn't see that bastard brother of his and this is what happens? It would've been better if he thought he was still dead. At least then he would think about him as a loving brother than the jerk that he is.
