Izu smiled at the Uchiha's response and went into a more defensive stance. He had to conserve chakra and not go all out too soon otherwise this match might end the same way the last one did and Izu didn't want that to happen. Savage Slime was easier to utilize than Water or earth techniques so he would rely on that until he saw a need to. Izu saw Hayashi throw a smoke bomb at him in an attempt to blind him to oncoming attacks and he didn't have an ocular jutsu to help him see through the smoke so he would have to rely on his other senses, which he had been trained to him almost incessantly. He listened carefully for his opponents movement and hoped that Hayashi didn't go for a simple projectile ninja weapon, and that's when he heard it.

[i]"Water Style: Water Chains."[/i] It was faint and he almost didn't hear it, but Izu picked up on the technique. He didn't know the exact location, but he got some idea of which direction the voice had come from and he quickly made a hand sign.

"Savage Slime: Shield" he spoke and a wall of slime in an almost shield like shape formed in front of him where he anticipated the the attack. Almost immediately as the slime formed it was hit by the watery chains that Izu guessed were meant as a way to tie him down and make him immobile and vulnerable to attacks. Now was the time to get out of this smoke and Izu jumped up into the air with just enough strength to clear the smoke and he quickly got a glimpse of Hayashi. Moving at fast speeds Izu grabbed out two kunai knives and threw them in the leaf shinobi's direction where he had last seen him, all the while in the air.

When he landed on his feet Izu made several hand signs in quick succession and spoke the words of a jutsu.

"Savage Slime: Bubble Burst." he spat out a ball of slime that headed straight for the smoke. The ball would then hit the ground and burst causing slime to fly around the vicinity of the area effected by the smoke bomb. The slime would be like a jellyfish and give an almost paralyzing sting if it came into contact with the skin. Izu was hoping to slow his opponent down so that he would hinder the Uchiha's mobility and thus make the Sharingan less effective in evading his attacks.
