History: Helia and Khan, Zeruel's fireteam, he's been with them since his revival as a guardian. the three of them seemed invincible together, but that didn't last, Zeruel watched as the light was torn away from his companions and their ghosts, he escaped the same fate with an injury that maimed his ability to speak. his ghost speaks for him now. 

Zeruel rarly comes to the tower now, after the loss of his fireteam he felt nothing but grief and rage, he had set out on his own, hunting the secrets the forces of darkness posses. He's stolen power from the Hive in the form of several corrupt and powerful weapons. His attention is mostly on the Vex as well as the Cabal's Blind Legion, the reason for this is unknown, perhaps he believes their power can bring back his fallen comrades.

His actions have caused some concern among the Vanguard, though while he may no longer care for them or the city's factions, he still listens to the Speaker.
