Welcome to Adaebis, a junction of space-time between dimension, a place worlds and cultures across the multiverse mix together! Jet fighters chasing fire-breathing dragons, Stormtroopers fleeing from daemons, elves befriending aliens. In the chaotic and wondrous world of Adaebis any of these could happen! Countless factions from untold number of worlds are inhabiting this planet. It' a world where romantic knights can meat dystopian survivors, a mold of people and cultures across from both time and space. Your faction is a newcomer, having just recently manged to reach Adaebis. Whether it was your achievement, an accident or even the act of divine; it doesn't matter. The fact is that you have established a fresh colony here. From this point on you must deal with countless foreign factions and their diverse cultures: diplomacy, trade, intrigue or often even war would follow your steps. You're a freshly established colony within the world of Adaebis. You can pick almost any faction from existing media (barring the truly powerful ones) or design your own (albeit this would take much longer). Depending on how strong your "mother faction" is this would inversely effect the size of your colony. Weak factions may be initially struggling but they start with huge colonies and can grow exponentially stronger. Strong factions have tiny colonies but their power and influence could lead them to greatness. Adaebis is a world full of possibilities. Although don't let your ambitions to overwhelm you, there are powerful factions that prevailed in this world for long. Carelessness may draw the attention of these super factions on you. The objective of this game is the same as always, develop your nation, become stronger and spread your influence. The world of Adaebis is ripe with opportunities. Use your cards right and you may even become the sole ruler of this world! Braving the New World (BNW) is an NRP which kinda unites my experiences here into a slightly different kind of game. Due to differing ideas in many NRPs there are great chasms between each nation's style and performance. Technology, culture and practically everything is rather insular in games. So why not make this an actual gameplay element? In BNW you start off as a tiny colony coming from a whole different universe and meet people and cultures that are unlike anything your faction experienced before. Similarly there's no risk of factions beginning as too powerful. Depending on how advanced or powerful your individuals are, you will start with handicaps. Grabbing too much land isn't an issue, either. Because you don't. Everyone stars as tiny blips on the planet's radar. I can detail it further but basically the game was made to fit these trends.
Adaebis is both the name to the junction of space-time and the planet found in its center. The planet is Earth-like albeit with the diameter of nearly 16,000 km (25% larger than our Earth). One day is 24 hours and one year is 365 1/4th days. Atmosphere, gravity and weather are all similar to Earth. The planet's crust has faint amounts of rare materials native to other universes (mithril, tibana gas, etc). While Adaebis is mostly a regular planet the space surrounding it is anything but that. The Sun, the Moon and even the star are just illusions reflected from the dimensional walls that surround the planet tightly. Whatever space is outside the planet's atmosphere it's limited, thus regular space travel is only possible around the planet's orbit. Adaebis also holds many other strange mysteries which are up to the player to discover. Yet pry too far and you may get burned!

Note: All factions start in a 10x10 pixel (100x100km) area albeit most tiers don't control this entire area from the beginning. Tier 1 control the full area an have the largest population while tier 10 has the lowest population and barely control a square mile. Military numbers are derived from your population count at the start (after which you need to give orders to further raise them). 10% in general albeit depending on your nation's style this may differ. Depending on your military's doctrine and tech level, vehicles or other non-standard soldier equipment ratios can vary and often pending for GM approval. Tier 1 Ancient Age technology or a faction roughly comparable to them in fighting power. Control the entire zone from the beginning and has 100 million people (ignore the fact you realistically would need even more land to feed them...or that you are twice as populous as the Roman Empire) Tier 2 Middle Ages level development, roughly pre-gunpowder era. You control over half of the land and have 50 million people. Tier 3 Early Gunpowder age development, including the Age of Sails. Even if you don't meet this tech level if you have something comparable (say, common use of mages in combat), you're in this tier. You control only 1/10th of the land and have 10 million people. Tier 4 Inustrial/Pre-Modern age development (or something equivalent to it). Ironclads, rifles and the like. You control only 1/20th the area with 5 million people. Tier 5 WW1/WW2 level development. Tanks, airplanes, machineguns. Development of atomic bomb is generally excluded albeit you may research it. You control 1/50th of the area with 2.5 million people. Tier 6 Cold War era development. ICBMs, satellites and the like. You have 1/100th of the area (roughly a medium sized city) with 1 million people. Tier 7 Modern to near-future era (10 years in advance or so) in development. You have 1/400th of the area with 500,000 people. Tier 8 Futuristic (up to 50-100 years ahead the modern world) in development. Weak laser weapons, fusion energy, interplanetary travel and so.You have 1/1000th of the area (a town) with 100,000 people. Tier 9 Sci-Fi era. You have interstellar technology (even if you can't use it much here), space warships, energy gun, energy shields and other typical equipment. You control 1/10,000 of the area (small town) with 20,000 people Tier 10 The most advanced/powerful factions are these. Their reasonably powerful attacks/armaments are already weapons of mass destruction. They are a post-scarcity civilization with technologies bordering on magical (if not magical, in case it's an absurdly developed magic/fantasy faction). Start with a tiny base/settlement (1/50,000 of the area) and only 2000 people. Keep in mind these tiers are only a guideline and actually the GM may give you slightly different population numbers if necessary. Also technological level is not everything. While it's a good starting point magic, powerful individuals and everything else is considered before evaluating your faction.
How to join this game? You pick a location (either mark it on the map via an image editing program or just give me the zone's name), pick a certain faction (groups from existing media are preferred because it's easier), fill out the NS and you are almost done! The GMs may ask you further questions about your faction or ask you to fix a few things. If you are making a custom/original faction you need to fill out a more detailed NS (which is coming soon).
