Izu saw his bubble technique hit its target and expected to see the Uchiha writhing on the ground in agony, but instead what he saw was a clone. He cursed and was annoyed at having mainly hit a clone and not his real opponent, but he did notice that the slime managed to tag Hayashi on the arm before the Uchiha could get away. Good, that would mean that his opponent would have a stinging pain in his arm and hopefully a little bit of paralysis. Then the Uchiha tossed two kunai knives in his direction and Izu's eyes spotted the explosive tags on them and quickly chose to dodge out of the way. 

He immediately returned his gaze to Hayashi in time to see him make hand signs, it looked like the slime hadn't been enough to paralyze him from performing ninjutsu. Izu heard him say the name of a fire jutsu and saw him breath out, but there was no fire and couldn't smell anything. His mind raced at rapid speeds trying to quickly think of what to do next and then it hit him, it had to be an explosion of some kind.

"Oh shit!" he said to himself as he quickly made the hand signs for a jutsu after he tried to leap as far and as quickly as possible.

"Savage Slime: Protective Shell" he said and slime formed around his arms and legs, which hardened into a shell like material. Then there was a large explosion as Hayashi's technique ignited the air around it. Izu had been fotrunant enough to get out of the central point of the blast zone, but the size of the explosion was still large enough to catch him on his left side and the sheer force of the blast sent him flying for several more feet. His left and leg were burned, but not too severely thanks to his Protective Shell technique. It still hurt like hell and he gritted his teeth, but he had suffered worse during training with his team in the mist village. It was time to now go on the offensive and close the gap.

"Savage Slime: Death Blade" he said after making the hand signs for the technique. Slime formed in his right hand and then took of the shape of a two foot long sharp blade. It was hard as stone and just as sharp as a knife. Izu charged towards his opponent with incredible speed allowing chakra to empower his dash. He then jumped up into the air and came down on Hayashi planning to plunge the slime blade into his shoulder and then follow up with a hard kick to the Uchiha's face
