[@Kurai Assassin] The bullet struck what appeared to be the Crusader's head, easily breaking through the lightly armoured outside of the crusader helmet. Little did North know that these helmets served a mostly decorative purpose, and that the nervous system of the cyborg was interred deep within it's mechanical body, under layers of armour. The blow did nothing more than annoy the Crusader, who bellowed in his loud, robotic voice as he descended upon North and his allies. Electronic muscles whirred and buzzed as his large robotic arm swung downwards, the massive 2 ton blade aimed at North's face. [Stop.] Instantly, the Crusader freezes in mid-strike. The other Crusader similarly stops, stepping backwards to allow Kami to pass. The sleek form of the legendary vampire hunter stepped forward, but the only person who would notice something was Katya. Kami was different. Previously, he had moved methodically, efficiently. Now, there seemed to be a spring in his steps. He was still agile and graceful, but no longer were his movements like those of a robot. It was a slight change, but an omen of what was to come. [/My Lord, I request permission to inflict justice upon the rebels./] Sir Everet, the Crusader with a hole in his helmet, spoke loudly. Unlike Kami and the Crusaders, the Paladins seemed to retain some level of individuality. At the very least Sir Everet seemed to have traces of anger in his computer-generated voice. [I believe I will deal with the issue personally.] [/Sir, there is no reason for you to get involved./] The second Paladin, Sire Comfort, pitched in helpfully on the side. [/It is best if we deal with these pests now, before they return to their base. We can use their suits to attempt to track the location of their base./] In the distance, and explosion can be heard. There's a moment of silence, as Kami seems to be considering something being said to him through his communications gear. [It seems their suits self destruct. Recovering them is no longer a viable course of action. It seems I will need to resort to more unconventional methods. Step back, and kill any of the rebels that attempt to escape.] With that said, Kami walks up to North. Being an experienced warrior, North would realize that his chances of defeating both Paladins and Kami were infinitesimal, even with the backup of his allies. They had taken too much damage already, and their opponents were well stocked and well rested. To attack now would be folly. [I believe that I may be able to strike a deal with you. Of course, this isn't the kind where you get a choice. More troops are on their way to this location already, and your men are badly damaged.] He gestures to the assortment of figures behind North. [You wish to preserve their safety. I can tell. As such, I believe this situation is best solved with diplomacy, do you not?]
