[@Kurai Assassin][@hagroden][@DiZL ReloadeD] [You seem to be under the impression that your ignorance grants forgiveness. In truth, it merely makes you a fool in addition to a criminal. Your failure to recognize your enemy does not alter the actions you took, your motives do not belay your sins. You speak of your wars with HIVE as if that, in and of itself, were not a criminal offense.] Kami gestures, and one of the paladins steps on the truck they were previously driving. With a single push, the entire structure is forced to collapse. [By the law of this land, you are to be arrested and locked away. By the law of man, you are to be slaughtered in retribution. Only in the Law of God, the absolute law, can you find any hope of forgiveness.] Kami then does something unexpected. He turns his sword around, and drops it to the ground. The blade sinks to the hilt into the rock, as if it had been dropped into warm butter. [I am willing to compromise, to grant you a mercy beyond what you deserve. Whilst by all rights you should be dragged back in chains, I will instead follow you to your base. I will speak to your leader, and I will attempt to end this fight without further bloodshed.] He steps forward, now unarmed. [Your organization will be disbanded. It is the only way to maintain the peace. We cannot have criminal organizations fighting over vendettas. Both you and HIVE will be dealt with, in the most peaceful way we can manage. Those among you with righteous intentions may join us in our cause, and take up arms for the betterment of mankind. But there will be no war between humans. Not while a far more sinister enemy plots behind the scenes.] Kami's stance was firm, and he would not budge from this chosen view. Many would peg Kami as a warrior. But he was also a tactician, and he knew very well that a peaceful solution was best. In order to stave of the powers of vampirism, all of humanity would need to unite under one flag. Anything less would pale before the coming storm. [Ved, you are hereby named Warleader of the Purge. You will lead the Crusaders in any conflicts that may arrive in my absence, and protect America from heretic and demon alike. I trust that you will not fail me in this duty, and that you will not engage in pointless bloodshed. Our enemy is cunning, and he is to be found in every shadow. Do not forget that. He will strike when we are weakest, and we are not to allow ourselves weakness.] The threat to the Pope of Flames was completely ignored. Should Hive seek to eliminate the Pope, they would find themselves hardpressed to escape alive. After all, the Pope was nothing more than a puppet for the true leader of the Purge. A mouthpiece, a martyr, and bait. If either Hive or the vampires struck at the Pope, their actions would lead to their own demise. Of course, Kami was also well aware that Hive had no motive to work against the Purge. They were an organization that was almost as adamantly opposed to the supernatural as the Purge was, and their recent actions were uncharacteristically hostile. After Freelancer was disbanded, Kami would make a point of once more befriending Hive. They had less power in America, but their connections and presence in other countries was significantly greater than that of the Purge.
