[@Kurai Assassin][@DiZL ReloadeD] A smoke grenade? Really? Kami could have killed North even as he retrieved the grenade from his utility belt. To the Oldblood, the movements seemed to occur in slow motion, a mockery of action performed by one who didn't understand how vastly outclassed he was. North threw the grenade to the ground, and Kami watched it go off motionlessly. The smoke spread, and North turned to run from his foes. He was going to rendezvous with his allies, even through the helmet Kami could easily hear the conversation take place. The entire event was silly, it was almost tiring. Previously, he would have acted sooner. He would have killed North the moment he had moved his hand towards his utility belt, broken his neck with a single gesture. But now, it seemed like a tedium to defeat such a weak opponent. Kami locked onto North with his suit's many additional sensor arrays. He could see the infrared and ultraviolet shadows cast by the large metallic suit. With advanced sound sensors, he was able to easily triangulate North's position. Even the electromagnetic fields that surrounded the suit gave away North's position. Kami shot forward like a loosed arrow, accelerating to sprinting speeds instantly. Even as North were to emerge from the smoke, he would find Kami standing in front of him. Kami had the strength and speed of an Oldblood, and no longer was he limited by his suit. No longer was he tortured by the crucifixes affixed within. He was a god among men, capable of crushing steel with his bare hands and outspeeding a moving car. North kept running, primal instincts taking over as he realized the strength of his opponent. It was a hopeless endeavour, human legs could never outrun an Oldblood. Even boosted by a mechanical suit, it was mere mortal technology. And Kami had had quite enough of such trivial dealings. He flew past, his feet digging into the ground and leaving craters from the force of their impact. He was next to the Humvee in an instant, and grabbed onto it with one hand. He shot a look back at North, even as the soldier rushed up towards what he had believed was his escape. [Very well. Witness, the consequences of your choice.] Using one hand, Kami pushed the car upwards. The two ton vehicle briefly lifted above the ground, spinning 180 degrees. It came down, wrong side up, it's chassis collapsing under it's own weight. Allison was trapped within by the twisted metal, and had she not been wearing her armour she would have been crushed to death. Kami simply turned back to North, even as he felt anger boil within him. He had given them every chance, every option. He had given them Mercy. Now they would feel Wrath. [Ved. I want them alive. Break their arms and legs, we will then take them to HQ. Kill them only if you must.] Kami nearly growled, as he stalked towards North. The man had foolishly made himself a mouthpiece for Freelance, and would face Kami's personal anger. [Now allow me to show you why the meek must not anger the strong. You have refused the Law of the Land. You have refused the Law of God. So allow me to introduce you to the one Law left. The Law of Nature, the Law of the Strong. Allow me to introduce you to the fate of weaklings who attempt to stand up to me, the Lord of Death.] For the first time, emotion permeated Kami's monotone. His robotic voice seemed to shift, becoming deeper and more gravelly. He was pissed. ------------ Ford had sat at a distance, presumably observing. However, now that was no longer an option. One of the Paladins shot towards him, brandishing it's shield and sword as it advanced on the Freelance soldier. Without his sniper rifle, Ford would have little in the way of protection. And yet, he was faced with the righteous hulk of metal, storming towards him like a 4 ton battering ram.
