[@Wraithblade6] As Mithias entered through the lobby, Adam’s face grew a light smile. He quickly finished his business with Bedivere – informing him that it would be in his best interests to bring his key to his main office in Japan. He approached Mithias in such a confident manner, that it would have been as if he were his prospective employer welcoming him to an interview of some kind. He stopped but a few feet away with a smile on his face, rubbing the still healing incision points of Mithias’s preview taste. “Ah, how nice to see some... Fresh faces in the hotel.” Adam said as he leant towards Mithias. “Let’s begin the party shall we?” As the final words dripped from Adam’s mouth, his eyes glowed crimson and his arms spread, his fingers disjointed as if conjuring up some kind of trick. However, those with any physic ability could feel thousands, if not millions of tiny strands floating from Adam and shooting off in every possible direction. All sense of feeling was evaporating and only hunger remained. And it wasn’t long before they knew the taste of blood. Out in the streets, thousands of varying creatures begun to attack and rip apart and man women and even child that crossed their path. Those that were unfortunate enough to still remain intact from the teeth and claws of these creatures soon found themselves with the same lust for blood as those that had attempted to devour them. What was also noticeable was that these were no standard fledglings, but rather a pick n’ mix of genetic mutations. Some of which were beneficial and created a destructive creature, some however rendered them useless. Or so it would seem. Soon these creatures would begin to gather bodies of those who were too far gone to be turned and soon begun to create hives of biomass that pulsed like a living creature.
Geostationary Orbit, Orion Cannon, Observation Deck There she was, a glistering beauty that needed to be saved from the tumours that were the supernaturals. Earth – the only true home of humanity and one that Baxter swore to protect. Proud of his, or rather HIVE’s accomplishments, Baxter sighed with a sense of relief, this new facility, though currently unpressurized and many of the facilities on it needed brining online it was still operational for its main purpose. A laser to cut the tumours away from Earth. Baxter left the observation deck and began to make his way to the bridge, navigating through the corridors in which workers in full space suits were finishing off the main construction aspects of the interior. However before Baxter made it into the Command Room, an alarm began to sound. Baxter paced himself and rushed into the command room where command officers were rushing about as best as they could in the zero-g environment. When Baxter realised what was going on, he assumed full battle command of the operations. “I thought we purged the outbreak! What the hell is going on?” Baxter demanded through his respirator and a senior officer turned to inform him that this outbreak was a separate incursion that may have been caused by unknown factors. “Very well… I believe then it is time we test the ability of our multi-billion investment and see how well it preforms. Locate the city will the lowest possible recovery rate!” “Sir, Pittsburgh has a less than 12% recovery chance. This new outbreak is something that we have never witnessed before.” “Very well. Begin firing sequence!” Baxter ordered has he typed his authorisation code into the console, keeping his eyes on the monitors which dashed through all the security cameras around the world. The station began to fire its orbital boosters and positioned itself in the correct alignment, collecting intense amounts of solar energy that began to rip through the firing chambers and focusing arrays. A slight wooing sound could be heard from within the station as the laser began to charge. The sequence took roughly five minutes before it was ready to fire. As soon as it was, Baxter activated the laser which fired down upon the city, tearing through the earth’s atmosphere and beginning to burn away all the organic matter that resided in the city, along with most of the city. “Now… deploy emergency code Sigma-One-One-Four. Let’s stop that cancer before it can consume the world.”
