Ernestine sat in silence, her elbow on the table and her chin resting on her knuckles as she looked out through the plate glass window of a coffee shop. The streets were bustling with people, mostly shoppers, and a lot of them had scarves wrapped around their necks. She picked up the stirrer and stirred her coffee, sighing at her growing boredom. Things have been dull lately, and the lack of excitement left her in low spirits. It has been a few days since the return of Brontes, and she has not seen him or felt his presence ever since. A long exasperated sigh left her lips as she continued to stir her coffee without touching it. She stared at the steam as it went up in the air and disappeared as quickly as it came. "My, my. Goddess of Chaos sipping coffee at a fancy coffee shop. How lovely," she muttered bitterly to herself, the look of boredom growing on her face. "The world must be coming to an end," she added with a lack of enthusiasm as she picked up the cup and took a sip from her coffee in a very regal manner. She took note of the rich flavor and creamy taste, licking her lips in satisfaction. Humans were evolving. She couldn't remember the last time she had drank coffee, but it definitely didn't taste as good as this. Instrumental music was playing in the background and the smell of freshly ground coffee was wafting through the air. Everything felt so serene and the moment she realized this, her face turned to stone - she suddenly felt very, very, horrified. "What is with this peace?!" She yelled in annoyance, banging her palms against the table. She earned unwanted looks from people around her, and she flashed them a sweet smile before rolling her eyes. She quickly got up on her feet and left the cafe, irritation crawling up in her veins. With no destination in mind, she stormed down the road, stopping in her tracks when a sudden bright lighting caught her attention. She quickly looked up in confusion, but there was nothing. She had just imagined it, she thought, until a few more series of images flashed through her head. A sword. Wings. Light. It was no other than the god of valor himself. He has woken - and she could feel his presence nearing the city. "Well, well," She said wryly as a mischievous smile made it's way to her lips. "I guess things will just keep getting better and better from now on," she chuckled, her mind wandering back to the return of Brontes accompanied by Amare, and now, Amos. Winter has arrived, which meant the god of winter - and possibly the god of autumn, was close by. With so many gods in one city, things will surely get interesting.. and chaotic. She beamed as she stared at the busy streets, her stomach churning in excitement. Good things were bound to happen with so many gods flocked up in one city - or should she say, terrible, terrible things. She inhaled deeply and continued her walk down the road, now feeling very, very, well pleased.
