Sapphire Rode - Rooftops
Sapphire was suitably impressed as Oswald teleported up to the roof, his semblance was indeed a strong one and it seemed to serve him well. Though Sapphire enjoyed her ability to fade into the shadows she sometimes wished for a more active semblance, something that would aid her in battle. Though when the times when she needed to hide came around she was always more than happy that her semblance was what it was. "Here," she said holding out the earplugs to Oswald. "I had a spare pair." It wasn't the reason that she'd returned to her room, that was the matching skater gloves coating her hands but it was a nice extra. As it got closer Sapphire turned to investigate the source. From her vantage point she could see a boy stumbling over the crest of the hill. He carried no more of electronics on him, though it was hard to tell from this distance, yet he was clearly the source. "I'm going to take a closer look. You're welcome to join me." Sapphire turned to where the a crowd was gathering and started to run. As she neared the edge of the roof Sapphire leapt into the air, sailing through in on her way to the ground. As she neared the ground the girl in blue flipped her hands aiming at the incoming grass. She landed on her hands but rather than let them take all the force which would have damaged her aura if not broken her wrists Sapphire propelled herself into a front flip to dissipate the velocity she'd built up. She flipped three times before coming to a stop in a partial crouch one knee up, her head bowed, her hands on the ground. Shaking off the landing Sapphire ran to see what exactly had caused the disturbance. It became disturbingly clear exactly what the obnoxious music was. It was a distress call, a boy with a sound semblance calling out to the entire academy in pain. He was either some sort of faunus or born with an interesting genetic mutation or possibly experimented upon because his eyes where black with white pupils. The lab rat angle started to look more credible as Sapphire saw that his mouth had been sew shut and he had the most forbidding word: EMBODIMENT emblazoned over his nose in black ink. Sapphire turned to Oswald as he came up behind her. "Oswald, go get Ozpin, your speed teleporting semblance can get you there a lot faster than I could, I've got him." Then she turned to everyone else. "Clear a path!" She shouted at the crowd which up until that moment had been standing in stunned silence and at the sound of her harsh words many of the students stumbled to get out the way. You could say a lot about Sapphire's leadership qualities, much of it not particularly complimentary but she knew how to take charge of a crisis even if she wasn't particularly polite about it. "Professor? I'll get his legs?" she asked looking to Fullbuster for confirmation. She may not have been the most tactful person but she knew enough not to try and order a teacher around. Another student beat her to the punch. He dragged the boy off the ground carrying him bridal style. Sapphire flinched. That wasn't how you should be carrying a person with unknown injuries. Ideally you'd have something hard and flat to carry them on to ensure you didn't do more internal damage but nothing like that was apparent at the moment. "Are you trying to break his spine?" She asked glaring at Cobalt, "You need to keep him as straight as possible otherwise you risk doing more harm than good." For all they knew the boy had several broken ribs, in the manner Cobalt was holding him that could lead to a punctured lung, massive internal bleeding or worse.
