After the Kirby started bonking fairy-boy with the sword, he began to start coughing up his brief explanation in a thick accent: "Eye totally know what's going on. One a' you guys' evil or something. Eye'm sure of it." "Yeah, uh-huh," Alexander replied with hints of sarcasm and cynicism, pulling himself up to a sitting position proper to lean on the Red Queen some. "Let's suppose you're right. Did you ever consider the idea that you could be the evil one?" He tossed out the idea, still a bit sour about the whole combat that the fairy started. And then, suddenly, some other guy appeared. He sounded awfully coy and quirky, something that fit his short stature and squiggly 'mad scientist' glasses... wait. Eddy Gadd? That same scientist from Mario? Oh boy, this just kept getting batter and better, didn't it? In any case, it seemed that all of these people's being dragged into this world was deliberate in that this 'Eden' entity desperately needed forces to stop it, but also random in that apparently Gadd had no way of actually controlling who got pulled in. Well, this was great, wasn't it? Get a couple of confused half-wits instead of willing fighters, why not? And yet still, Gadd had the politeness to ask if Alexander and these others accepted this new responsibility, even when he already admitted to having shanghaied them into this. "Staff kid has a point," Alexander followed up to Negi's comment. "We're already here, and you've already admitted to dragging us into this. If we say no, you'll send us home - right?" A pause, and before E. Gadd could respond, Alexander pulled on his sword to stand up. "But then, this all would've been a great waste of time, wouldn't it? And being who I am right now-" he gestured to his form of Nero, "Who would I be to refuse a challenge? "This Eden thing... It won't know what hit 'em!" The young man cried out, brandishing Red Queen in a display of readiness.
