Dwarves being musically inclined makes a lot of sense actually. They'd probably have a good sense of rhythm with all the repeated striking of picks against stone and hammering metal out and stuff. Also I'm inclined to suggest that for original races, I think we should kind of stick to original words? For the human races depending on where they live we can probably just borrow from existing languages, but for elves and stuff we should probably try and make something up that seems like it fits the race and works as a language. Also, since we're doing high magic(that seems to be the consensus at least), the mecha could probably be powered by using magical means. Airships would probably use balloons made of various materials. Or floating rocks or something. And, um, I have a few ideas to suggest in regards to some stuff. First off, um, if anyone actually likes the whole "Inverted Black Tower" thing, it would now be called Edes Athran. It's on its own plane of existence, and in spite of it being an upside-down massive black tower, it's still incredibly malevolent and projects this malevolence onto the living world. It has no mind or thoughts or anything at all, but it's so evil that it casts a shadow into the living world. We'd have to work out what it actually does if anyone likes this idea but yeah. Secondly, I have a deity to suggest! Her name is Ila-Nem, which is a contraction of Ila-Zenniso-Netuyem, and she is the night goddess(and chief deity) for a race of desert-dwelling humanoids. According to their creation myth, she brought down starlight and forged it into flesh and bone to create them. They are the Nem, who are a nocturnal race that resembles humans. They are extremely pale due to being nocturnal, with slightly-larger-than-most-human's, expressive red or yellow eyes and black hair. They're also very small at 3'4 to 3'5 as adults.
