Would just not thinking about it make them go away? Was it really that simple? Yumi couldn't be certain, yet she felt like the answer was definitely more complex than that; if just ignoring it made things better then Shu, and Viral, would have been fine long ago. Instead of ignoring it they had to make it better, how they did that though... "Maybe... Maybe we can just make you think of good things instead? If you are always thinking about happy stuff then there's no time to think about bad things, right?" Though wasn't that the same? Just pushing it out of mind, did that really solve the problem? Ugh, she hated not having the answer here, she felt like at the very least she ought to be able to offer emotional support to her friends. Moving Shu to a position where he might feel at least some comfort, Yumi held his hands in her own, hoping it might settle him down a little. "You are most definitely not always a bother, you never are. Being friends and family means we help people when they have trouble, it wouldn't be right if we ever thought it was a bother," she said gently, "And more good things than bad happen with you, you just focus on the bad silly." "Uh... She's right Shu... And I haven't even known you that long," Haku added, smiling slightly as he rubbed his hands together, "You always seem happy, and it makes us happy. Or... It makes me happy, at least." The young Prince's attitude was infectious, and there had been a few times already where just being near Shu had lifted his mood. They couldn't really explain that to him though, could they? He just had a way of brightening things up wherever he went, and for the most part befriending whoever he met it seemed. "We met on really bad terms, but... We're kind of friends now, I think. And my life is a lot better since meeting all of you, and you the most. Even when we weren't really talking you tried being nice, even when I scared you..." There weren't a lot of people who would do that, or who were nearly as forgiving as Shu was. T'charrl was definitely a close second, having been the one who was attacked the most, and between the two of them he felt like he finally made some friends. "You and T'charrl gave me my first friends I ever had... I don't see how that's bad." "Believe me, I'm not just saying it. I'm fully prepared to restrain you if you try anything," Vegeta remarked, frowning as he started taking inventory of what they had. Laying out bricks, it wasn't an overly complex job whatsoever... So why did he feel the slightest bit of confusion? Construction wasn't his forte, but how different could it be to engineering? The same concepts applied, just make it structurally sound and try to account for any potential flaws, then again maybe he was thinking too much into it. Lay the mortar, place a brick on top, fill it to give it weight, rinse and repeat... Right? "Yeah, lay the bricks, and I uh..." he began, his face flushing slightly as he scratched his head, "Well... I just place the brick down?" Looking across the way for confirmation he noticed they were building the sides up first, and rotating the bricks' direction as they were placed. Hm... So maybe it was slightly more complex than he had given it credit for, good thing he'd checked. "Hn, simple enough. So we just lay down some mortar like so..." Vegeta mumbled, slathering some of the mixture down, "Then place two bricks, some more mortar in between... And then another layer on top. Easy! Got all that?" Really they just had to mimic what the other side was doing, and how hard could that be? There wasn't putting off seeing the others any longer, not when he was already in the ward they were. Still though, who to visit first? Normally he'd go and see his brother before anyone else, yet the thought of being in the same room of Shu even now was a touch unsettling. Maybe someone else then, just to start. Not knowing whose room was whose he went to the first door, easing it open and popping his head inside only to find a sleeping T'charrl, promptly shutting the door after. Not there then, maybe the next one? Heading almost directly across the hall he went to open the door, pausing when he at first heard Yumi's voice speaking, then Haku's next. It was hard to make out what they were saying through the door, and it confused him as to whose room it might actually be with both of them in there. Those two he could talk to at least, even if Yumi was bound to smack him for being an idiot. Inhaling silently through his nose he gathered up the guts to face his friends, stepping in slowly with a faint smile on. "Hey guys, what are you..." Takeshi began, trailing off when he saw Shu sitting there in Yumi's lap. Getting somewhat nervous again he had to avert his eyes, managing to keep his smile as he rubbed at his neck uncomfortably. "Uh... Hey, am I interrupting anything?"
