His hands are callused and his body is well-built, especially his arms. He has never lost a competition of strength within his age group before. Ethnicity: American-Canadian Personality: Darius is hard-working but not driven. He’s focused, but he’s not ambitious. He’s smart, but he’s not studious. He has all the qualities of a good employee and student, but he doesn’t have the drive that his peers, even the inferior ones, have. He has no idea what he’s doing half the time, and spends the other half with his head in the clouds. He’s neither a picky eater nor a glutton, and his sheer ambivalence with everything highlights the fact that Darius has no likes or dislikes. He’s a product of a world where everything can be accessed with a Google search, where every necessity of life can be gotten with a phone. He’s just someone who wants to kill time. At least, that’s what he thought he was. Background/History: Darius lived in America, in a middle-class family. His father was in construction, and his mother was a nurse working evening shifts. He was left alone for most of his life, with his parents encouraging him to find his own passions and pursue them. But Darius was pretentious back then, and thought that there was nothing worth his while. His life before elementary school consisted of watching TV documentaries and YT videos. In Armstrong Elementary School, Darius realized that he was, indeed, a rather kingly figure. He was taller than most of the boys in class, and excelled both in academics and physical education…and promptly thought of those things as pointless as well. Daydreaming through most of his classes, he still managed to pass his classes with flying colors, whilst gaining the admiration of his peers as some sort of genius athlete. He wasn’t. He was just taller and stronger than the rest of them. And god, he was bored as fuck. It was in Ravenwood High School that Darius got his first taste of something that killed his boredom: Kir Niwa. A dude who looked more like a lady, Kir was a badass fencing champion, and after a rough start in which the two of them got into an ‘accident’ during physical education, they became some sort of friend. The first two years of high school was fun because of that, and for once, Darius thought that he was having fun. Then he had to move to Canada because his father got a new job as the manager for a logging company, and the dream was dead. From then on, Darius continued his decadent life, going to a school full of boring individuals and doing part-time at his father’s lumber company, cutting down trees for money. Pure suffering, really. Goal/Desires: An entertaining challenge that would ignite the passions within him. Powers: Radiant Eclipse – Who knows what that is? I honestly can’t even begin to guess. Lightburst - What does this even mean? Google doesn't give me anything useful. Photosynthesis – Darius gains power from light, regardless of how weak or feeble it is. Obviously, he gets more energy from direct sunlight than firelight, but his absorption abilities are potent enough that he can even gather energy from moonlight. His physical abilities are increased in accordance to the amount of light energy he has stored, and are expended whenever he performs a superhuman feat. He can also substitute food and water for light energy, meaning that, no, Darius doesn’t really actually have to eat, sleep, or shit. Equipment/Inventory: When Darius was transported to Aurora, he was at home, watching TV. Essentially, he came to the world with nothing by his clothes. Not even shoes. Which sorta sucks, but it’s not that bad. But hey, hard mode is fun.
