Name: Theresa Alvarado Nickname: Grandma, Tessa Age: 67 Gender: Female Guild: Wizards of Fiore Rank: Bartender, Baker of sweets, Bitchslapper of rude youngsters, Occasional A-class mage History: A daughter of a small town’s baker, Theresa’s father wanted her to eventually inherit the family shop. As such, the young Tessa was taught the craft, but always a little lazy she started to look for ways to make her work easier. That led her to seek books about magic. After practicing various kinds with limited success, she managed to develop her signature style. Despite remaining guildless and hardly ever leaving her hometown, she did use her magic successfully to deter problems, something that worked quite well with her rude, abrasive attitude. That in turn caught eyes of some guild based wizards who at times hired ehr to help them on a job. That was how Theresa picked up fighting experience and further honed her skills over the years. Then the war came. Her hometown was burned to the ground during the fighting. Having nothing to return to as no one who was left wanted to re-settle in the place where the village stood, Theresa took up the offer of managing one of the new megaguild’s buildings. These days she tends to the bar, kicks the fight out of any young punk that gets too cocky and occasionally helps with the job, albeit her older bones are not going to be fighting dragons any more. Personality: In her younger days, Theresa was a tomboy who didn’t go far for a swear word, or a spit. Her favorite pastimes included brawling and dressing down fools who didn’t know any better. Her skills were however quite remarkable and necessary in the community, so she was forgiven a lto fo things and had quite a bit of respect. The war changed her. The destruction of her town left her more abrasive rather than trash talking, and overall she is a bit more of a silent person nowadays. What gets her talking is remembering the good old days - she has many stories to tell, although one has to take them with a grain of salt because Grandma can tell a lie with perfect poker face. The other occasion is when you tread in muddy shoes on the floor she just cleaned. Magic: Dough mold: Dough mold allows Tessa to create virtually any shape out of any dough she knows, starting with gingerbread and ending with noodles. People have over the years told her that while this sounds yummy, it wasn’t particularly useful outside of a bakery. Something she proved wrong in just a few seconds - just try to get out of a pool of sticky dough. Make no mistake, this grandma can make combat-grade pastry. Heat magic: Something she picked up to go along with her primary magic, Theresa uses this skillfully to make pastry-ready-to-eat… And grill her opponents in a fight. Other: She has a slight limp in her right leg and compensates with a walking cane. She isn’t afraid of anything other than fear itself.
